“the sand receives me
in the distance a mast decides to flicker
the quest of lovers without love
on a wicker chair
a lonely glove”
I thought that was a beautiful closing. Reaching the zenith and then wearing a cloak to fade into everything. And my favorite line was also “a bed sighs’.
Thank you Watt. I am thrilled you like those lines.

Thank you my dear Valerie. Your support means a lot to me.
Dear G. This must be one of my favorites of your poems. The words within it have lingered within me since I read it last. Itโs like the words (like the clouds in your poem) are made of silk, they spill with melancholy yearning into the poem, settling into the hearts of your readers. The chair, the bed, the glove, the carnations…. The bed sighs, and so do I. You bring life and emotion to these images.
And not just because of this poem, you know that I am sending extra love and thoughts to you. I will not say any more, in my thoughts I sit quietly beside you. xoxox

That photo is a lie to melancholic faces.
I would rather just be alone.
Spillwords seem to be a good place,
For you and your words.
Scott, I am struggling to understand the phrase โthat photo is a lie…โ
Your words, your images, the pictures from you camera, they are all just so magical and authentic that it seems like it’s a life.
I know my over exaggeration isn’t doing me and the world much god. Sorry for writing something that could have seemed actually quite offensive at the 1st go.
Hey Scott, I did not think it was offensive. I just did not understand.
Thank you so much for your praise. It means a lot to me.
Wishing you a fabulous day.
Have a wonderful day!
You too ๐
That’s wonderful ๐
