Poetry in English and Basque & A Quick Reminder.
Poetry in English and Basque
I am who I am, and who I am breathes in the hush between desire and devotion โ hidden in the tears that slide down the cracked face of an iconoclastโs old church, glistening like skin after rain.
My essence stirs in the murmur of the waves that caress Bilbaoโs restless shore. There, beneath the trembling light, I unfold โ a secret pulse, a body made of memory and prayers, aching to be touched by the world again.
————————
Ni naizena naiz, eta naizena arnasa hartzen du desioaren eta debozioaren arteko isilunean โ ikonoklasta baten eliza zaharraren aurpegi pitzatuaren gainetik behera irristatzen diren malkoetan ezkutatuta, euriaren ondoren larruazal bezain distiratsu.
Nire esentzia mugitzen da Bilboko itsasertze bizkorra laztantzen duten olatuen xuxurlan. Han, dardarka dabilen argiaren azpian, zabaltzen naiz โ taupada sekretu bat, oroitzapen eta otoitzaz egindako gorputz bat, munduak berriro ukitzeko gogo biziz.

I hope yours is a wondrous weekend. Thanks for sharing your work in Basque! I heard a story that goes something like the Devil went to the Basque country to learn the language and so be able to deceive the people there, directly. After seven hundred years, the devil had learned only seven words and in frustration ran away, fell head-first, and so forgot the seven words learned.
Thank you so much my dearest friend. Haha! That’s so good. It’s a very difficult language, and as far as I know is not related to any other language in the world.
One new development: they discovered that the Basque language has the same sentence structure like the Japanese one. Consequently, the Japanese are now big funs of Basques cuisine. If one can afforded because in Japan is very expensive.
Thank you again for your comment and have a great weekend once!
I want to go back Camino de Santiago. Loved Bilbao.
Thank you for your comment, dearest Gerry. Oh, Camino de Santiago is beautiful. I hope you go. And Bilbao will leave in my heart forever. I am glad you like it.

Yes, the world is much in need of magic, love, and peace, which are in short supply in many lives and places. Unfortunately, we must all take action to make it so. A subject that begs for poetic address, among other things.

And happy holidays to you as well!
Thank you so much my sweet Mary ๐น๐น๐น
