A poem from my book Woman: Splendor and Sorrow

A nude silence wraps around my lips. The hour to get drunk on love has come.
I touch your skin and another you is born.
Birds invade the sky.
A labyrinth of candles floods the streets.
A white thread ties my blood vessels at the exact moment
when a religious procession walks by.

    1. Aw… thank you from the bottom of my heart dearest Diana. I am humbled by your words. Enjoy the rest of your day!

  1. Wonderfully evocative! It’s as if the rest of the world bursts to life in reaction to the lovers touch. I let too much time pass since I enjoyed your beautiful verse. I hope you have been well!

    1. David, my goodness, what a wonderful surprise. I am so glad you are here. Your blog is not coming in my reader. What is going on? Are you ok? I need updates. Please write to me ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒน

      1. G, I am ok, and sorry to have worried you. I let the domain on my old blog expire a few years ago to focus on completing my PhD and save on WordPress fees while I was in school. In retrospect I regret it. Now I have finished my PhD and have time to nurture my creative side again, and promise to do a better job of keeping in touch.

      2. Congratulations. What a wonderful news ๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿ’• wishing you the best. Please stay in touch ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒน

    1. Dear Frida, I am thrilled to come to your world. Looking forward to more posts from you ๐ŸŒน
