Between two ads – will you tell me which one you prefer?

May dear friends,

First, I want to thank you for your support an kindness. Literary Revelations‘ newest publication Full Moon Confessions is still #1 Top Release in the US and Japan after 4 days from its launch.

Itโ€™s a beautiful poetry book. Every verse is engraved into my soul. Thank you to those of you who bought the book. In case some of you still want to check it out please see below:

Anyways, the topic of today is ads. I created several ads by myself and last night I created one using AI. I would like to know which one you prefer.

  1. The fist is done by me with no AI
  2. The second is done by me using AI

So 1 or 2? Please let me know if you can. Thank you!

  1. the first seems more mystical and spiritual, and the second seems more for the everyday enjoyment of poetry in your life. both are good, I guess it would be based on what kind of audience you are trying to reach. well done

    1. Thank you so much dearest Beth. Ian send below or above that it depends on the audience. you shed more light to my question “what kind of audience?” Enjoy the rest of your day hon.

      1. I just looed up and saw you wrote your last post at the end of August. I hope you are well hon. I think about you very often. Lots of love to you. Take care.
        xoxo

      2. I am glad to hear you are well hon. Love to you and I cannot wait for October.
        xoxo

  2. Hi Gabriela. The first one is infinitely better. The 2nd, AI, one has too many visuals popping up. It’s confusing and stops the reader from reading.
Keep the first one. Two suggestions,
The text on :17 could be shorter, or end up with a smaller font.
The James Dean look-alike is cute, for a female audience, but is not necessary. Unless you have a specific goal for him. You could put a short poem there, maybe? A “quatrain?”
(I was in advertising – Ogilvy & Mather – and advertising research for many years… ๐Ÿ˜‰)
    Be good
    Brian

    1. Dear Brian, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your advice. I hope what you shared will benefit everyone.

Ok, I will use a smaller font and I can take the James Dean look-like out… no problem… another poem… I have to think about that.
Really, I have no words to thank you! Enjoy the rest of your day!

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

      1. Dear Gabriela,
Most welcome. It’s interesting to ask readers their preference for two potential ads. What is called a “kitchen test” in the industry. And since I’ve tested hundreds and hundreds of ads, might as well use that experience.
Having said that, do take the other comments into consideration. I confess I hadn’t had time to read them. In a qualitative way, those comments are always valuable, because they’re your target…
        All the best.
        B.

      2. Thank you so much Brian for you invaluable advice ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒน

    1. Thank you so much. I would like to run some ads for readers not necessarily for experts. Your opinion matters. Thank you for sharing!

    1. Thank you so much. What struck me the most was the contrast between the vulnerability of the human being (even, if one fights for perfection) versus the precision of the AI.

    1. Thank you so much hon. Perhaps I am a bit more likable than the AI ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน

      1. You are so sweet ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š Keep shining too hon โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

  3. #1. Poetry is meant to speak to the heart. The second one may appeal to the intellect for some, but I don’t feel it’s a good reflection of a sentimental poetry collection.

    1. Thank you so much for sharing your opinion hon. I think so too but I am happy to listen to everyone and learn ๐Ÿ’•โค๏ธ๐ŸŒน

    1. Dear Liz, thank you for sharing your thoughts. You are so right about the voice. Thank you again ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒนโค๏ธ

  4. I will always prefer human creativity over AI, so this is an easy choice: the first ad is my preference. AI tends to be soulless and has an artificiality to it that just seems uncomfortable. Perhaps I’m just old-fashioned or a purist, but I prefer the human touch. ๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. Hi Mike, thank you for sharing your thoughts. I feel the same. I was just wondering if itโ€™s only me. You validated my opinion dear friend ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒป

  5. I’m actually more partial to Ad# 2. I think, though, if the voiceover could be changed, it would be much better. But it’s informative and engaging, and it gives a potential buyer an actual breakdown of what to expect.

    1. Dearest Tre, thank you so much for being here and sharing your thoughts. The voice makes it bad. I tried various voices and this one seemed to me the best. Yes, AI still have a problems with voices ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒน

      1. You’re most welcome. AI is only as good as it can be. Unfortunately, it’s not human; we are so versatile and can shine in various modes. We can’t yet say that for most AI programs.

  6. 1st one for sure. 2nd one seems too much like it’s coming out of a sterile production room — like a template they use for multiple clients. In the first one, you can feel a connection to the hand and voice of the specific artist. #1 for authenticity! ๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. Thank you so much Tim for letting me know. I hope everything is well home. Sending hugs โค๏ธ

  7. Having viewed them both a few times, and read through all the comments, I’m erring towards no.2, at least in style, as a general sales pitch to those unfamiliar with you and your work – I’m ok with the voice in no.2, and you know me, I go for its businesslike simplicity. Now, as I do know you, I’m obviously in tune with your artistry in no.1 – though I do agree with an earlier comment that I couldn’t see the relevance of the image of the man? Again, as mentioned by others, it’s about your target audience – no.1 is more for those who know you – no.2 I’d say is for a wider view. All the best. Eric.

    1. Thatโ€™s one way Ian. But the opinion of the people I follow is impotent to me too โ˜˜๏ธ

  8. I guess I’m going against the grain, or maybe I’m just being pedestrian/old fashioned, but I like #2 by a long shot! Got a much better sense as to what the book is all about.

    1. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts dearest Mary. I do think you have a good point. Sending a big hug ๐Ÿค—
