“a crow gets strangled in a myth
a morbid verse hangs on a cross”
Like a gothic horror film, washed in dread. Amazing stuff, Gabriela.
Hi Rob,
Thank you! Did I manage to write something like a Gothic horror film? I’ve never thought I could do it. Apparently I did it.
Have a fabulous day.
There is a distinct and possibility/probability that I completed whiffed on the interpretation. π
Rob, all I am saying is that I did not think I was capable to create such atmosphere. I’m still discovering things about myself. Your comment was really helpful. And, of course, you are always very nice to me π

G, this had darker feeling than your usual poetry, but peeking out in this gorgeous piece is a melancholy finale that echoes. To doubt/question one’s love, then say we are someone else’s dream. That is haunting and sad. I can’t tell you how this one resonated. But you know me well enough, to know I would adore this one.
Congrats on the publication of this piece. It deserved to be recognized.
Hola Drew
Thank you so much for the congrats and the praise. I hope the praise is deserved π
I agree it’s haunting and it’s sad. I am moving from warm to cold. From the rose period to the blue one (like Picasso) LOL
Thank you for your kindness. Always sweet to me.
Enjoy the beautiful Florida.
G.
Warn me before you start the Cubism poetry.
Adore the rainbows and every sunset.
You will be the first to know π

I can’t even draw a straight line π
Straight lines. Thankfully, after two mojitos I can still walk them.
What can I say? You are the best π
LOL LOL LOL
You’re killing me

Thank you so much, Kayla. I am glad you liked it.
Congrats!
Thank you so much, Andrew. I will get back to you tonight. I did not forget.
You’re welcome!

G become Gabriela … each line revealing yet not all showing – a thought provoking read!
Hi Eric, I am thrilled you found the poem thought provoking.
Yes, G became Gabriela, and will stay so.
Thank you for reading and commenting.
Wising you a wonderful evening

This is different from your usual style and is beautifully haunting. Congratulations, dear.

My favorite lines:
“a crow gets strangled in a myth
a morbid verse hangs on a cross”
Straight out of a horror movie and captures everything in its essence.
Thank you for your comment, Charlie. I am glad you enjoyed those lines.
Perhaps I should start making horror movies π π π
