Walk – a poem by Gabriela Marie Milton- My book Passions: Love Poems and Other Writings featured in Independent Book Review

Happy June to my wonderful readers!

Walk

I walk the black rock
each wave a longingโ€”
your name written and rewritten
in the foam,
never fading, always returning
like the tears of children
chasing the last light

Passions is a collection for the contemplative reader, those who appreciate symbolic
language, mythic references, and emotional depth. Gabriela Marie Milton has crafted
a poetic world where spiritual longing meets sensual reality, and where even the
quietest images pulse with significance. This book is a rewarding experience for
lovers of lyrical, layered, and emotionally intelligent

  1. It is nice to know that Greek mythology is still playing a part in our world, Gabriela. If you have not seen “The Return,” it is a film about Odysseys’s return to Ithica and Penelope, both of whom have been changed by the 20 years that have passed.

    1. Hi Gerald. I see what you are saying. Am I like Penelope? Thank you for your wonderful comment!

  2. I like your poem of sand and words and tears. The action of dissolving and re-writing means something to the thoughtful lover. And Congratulations! on your book and the review.
