The Anthropocene Hymnal anthology is here.
Ingrid Wilson, who complied and edited The Anthropocene Hymnal, describes it as “a poetic response to the joint crises of climate change and biodiversity loss.” Ingrid worked hard to raise awareness of the dangers our planet faces. I am extremely grateful to her for her efforts and dedication.
The book will be published on 24 July 2021. The Kindle e-book is now available for pre-order from Amazon.
However, please keep in mind that Ingrid will sell her own version of the e-book on her site. Payment for downloads purchased in that way will be via donation to WWF. If you want to contribute to WWF [https://www.worldwildlife.org/] please consider buying from Ingrid’s site.

“Record-breaking temperatures hit the Pacific Northwest at the end of June, with an all-time high in British Columbia of 121 degrees.. An estimated 1 billion small sea creatures – including mussels, clams and snails – died during the heat wave in the Salish Sea, off more than 4,000 miles of linear shore…” [Amanda Coletta, and Sammy Westfall, The Seattle Times, July 8, 2021]. First congratulations on your beautiful piece Button. An incredible creative and lovely cover and a big shout out for what Ingrid Wilson has done to help our environment. Every one needs to be doing their part and this is a beautiful effort indeed. With a plastic island more than twice the size of Texas, or 600,000 square miles, floating in the Pacific ocean it is time for change. By 2050 based on many studies if we don’t make changes much of our World’s land mass by the ocean will be underwater and clean drinking water will be considered precious.
WWF is a great foundation that does wonderful things to help with environmental issues all over our precious world. I will be ordering and enjoying reading some (I am sure) gorgeous poetry while helping increase awareness of our fragile world that is truly running out of time.
Bless you Ingrid for this project and I will certainly be buying my book from your site to help raise funds for such a noble cause. Thank you Button for posting this and sharing this exciting information and your thought provoking piece.

Your poem is a very beautiful piece which certainly makes one stop and think about what we are doing and where we are heading with our lack of love towards our earth.
Thank you for sharing this information about this Anthology that will help to raise awareness and funding for the WWF. A big thanks to Ingrid Wilson for such a magnificent contribution.
The great Pacific garbage patch which is 600,000 square miles is more than twice the size of Texas. If we continue to abuse our world without significant change by the year 2050 according to many scientific articles much of the coast line cities will be underwater and drinking water will be a precious resource. Some of the worlds bigger countries will not have enough potable water to keep their population alive.
I will certainly be purchasing one of the Anthology books via Ingrid’s site to help support this amazing effort.
