    1. Thank you so much for your comment Timothy. It’s very sweet of you.
Do you see a picture of a woman with butterflies in her hair in my post? I know it sounds crazy but I see that picture in the reader but not on my site. I don’t want that picture there. I removed it before I published the post.

      1. You are right. The image shows up in the reader but not on your site. WP is so weird.

      2. Thank you so much for your help Timothy.
I am really looking forward to reading your most recent posts. Well, I have to listen to the MAD and look at your guitars. I will tonight.
Have a beautiful day and thank you once again for your help.

  1. Gabriela, could you explain, your own words, what micropoetry is? For example, could a haiku be considered a micropoem? I don’t quite grok this concept.

    1. Ben, thank you so much for trusting me with this question. I seldom reply to questions that are not in my area of expertise. This question requires some expertise. I write poetry. I live inside a bubble filled with poetry. Poetry is all around me, but at the end of the day I do not have a degree in English literature or related disciplines.
I posed the same question to one of my friends who teaches English literature. According to him haiku, senryu, tanka, and gogyohka are micropoetry.
What is a micropoem? A very short poem. How one defines and/or conceptualizes “short” that a another question 🙂
      I hope this helps.

      1. Yes everything is well with me. I had the fir a t edit done on my book. I was not h a opy with her. I am looking for another editor. In the meantime ivthought ofvways to make the book more engaging by inteoducing twist and turns throughout the book. Interesting transitions between chapters. I intoduced 3 characters and one being an antagonist. I have the main character writing poetically at the end of each line spoken. There is writing at the beginning and at the end the final twist comes which leaves you wondering if it is one or the other way the book ends. How are you?

      2. Joseph, I am sorry to hear about the editor. I am sure you can find some one better. I am glad you had the time to make the book more engaging.

“here is writing at the beginning and at the end the final twist comes which leaves you wondering if it is one or the other way the book ends. ” Oh, I love that kind of construction in a novel. John Fowles’ “The French Lieutenant’s Woman” has actually two endings. Well, it’s a post-modernist novel 🙂

Joseph, I wish you good luck and I look forward to reading your book. Please keep me updated. ‘

How am I? My second collection of poetry and short prose is ready for about a month or so. I did not send it to the publisher yet (I was supposed to) because I did not write the acknowledgements. I cannot write the acknowledgements. I am so tired Joseph that I have no words to describe how I feel. I am working too much on too many things. Something has to give. Anyway, thank you for asking.

It was great to hear from you. Have a wonderful weekend and don’t forget to keep me updated.

      3. Yes, I know that working to bone scenario. For me my site was getting to big and to much to visit all who was following me and to be honest these are people that if you like me i will like you. I started to delete and kept the genuine people and put my site on privacy. Now I post rarely as my attention was redirected elsewhere. I try not to go on social media to much. I found the stress diminish and actually i can hear and sometimes the stars whisper. Do rest. If you get sick because your always tired or exhausted that is a warning to your psyche and body. if you become ill you will not be of service to your family, friend etc. You need to reinforce your immuned system and not put to diminish it as that atttracts oppurnutistic diseases that feed on a low immune systems. That is your lecture for today in a friendly way. Take time to rest.

      4. Hi Joseph,. I understand why you did what you did. Lots of my friends here did the same. Yet, it’s not so much the social media, although it is very demanding to keep with I’ll admit. It’s my profession. There are a lot of demands placed on me right now. It’s going to get better in two weeks or so.

You are right. My immune system is already depressed. The allergies are killing me. For about a month I have chills and a sore throat. I hardly can speak anymore. My voice is breaking.
Thank you for your care. It means a lot Joseph.
        Have a beautiful week ahead.

  4. Such a passionate poem – loved it. The voices in the song are amazing. I wish I knew what they were saying, but this way I can give it my own meaning.

    1. Thank you so much Mary. That is so kind of you. Yes, that song is amazing. And you are right. You can attribute your own meaning to it. You can dream. You can imagine 🌹

  5. Thank you so much for liking my silly little poem. It was fun to do. I am not a poet, and I struggle to understand many poems and get the underlying meaning to them, but I love to read them.

  6. A delightful, sultry micro poem, dear Gabriela ~ thank you for sharing, my friend & have a pleasant Friday 🤗🌹
