      1. Thank you for sharing yours too. You are such a great poetess Ingrid ❤️

      1. Glad to hear you guys are ok. My ankle is fine. I have a certain level of swelling left around the bone that does not seem to go away. The same level like a month go. Other than that I have mobility and no pain. I can walk. I cannot run yet. It’s going to take a while. How is your ankle?

      2. That’s good. You were really lucky.
Me, I saw my doctor last week. The mobility is now 30procent (was 20 in Sept), which isn’t much but my foot is stronger so I can walk more normally, some half an hour or so, if it’s more, I have to have crutches. I can’t crouch and I can’t stand on it more than a couple minutes. After 8 months, I can say my recovery has just begun.

      3. Oh, Bo, just hang in there sweetheart. I know it’s tough. It is going to be fine. Love you with all my heart. Please keep me posted. Kisses for little B.
        xoxoxoxo…

    1. Thank you so much David. The artwork? Good question. I never use art work without proper attribution. I do not use anything without proper attribution. In fact I am getting a bit uncomfortable with some people here getting too “inspired” by my work. One does not want to cross the line between inspiration (which is perfectly fine) and plagiarism.

Anyway, the artwork you see here is in my private collection. One of my dearest friends painted it some time ago. The book cover for Passions is a picture of one of her paintings too. When she quitted painting and left for Europe she gifted her entire work to me. I can use her work the way I want provided that I do not use her name. That’s the story. I hope one day she will return to painting and she will sign her work. She is extremely talented. I write about “her” in my stories and call her Miriam.
Thank you for asking. Have a beautiful week ahead.
      xoxo

      1. If one does not want recognition one is seen as odd. These days when most of us look for fame it may be even a sin not to seek recognition.
David, I am not at liberty to say anything. However, people deal with tragedy differently. Sometimes they must leave the past in the past in order to be able to start anew.
Have a beautiful rest of the day my dear friend.
        xoxoxo..

      2. Thanks, Gabriela.

FWIW, I think there’s a difference between ‘recognition’ and ‘accolades’ – artwork like that is not something that came off of a conveyer belt, if you get my meaning.

Take my poetry, for example… I don’t need an award, but it’s definitely a reflection of my self and I do want it understood as such.

I didn’t mean to sound judgmental of your friend – but, well, she deserves to be known for such lovely art, and it’s far from every artist who wouldn’t want that. I’m sure there’s a difficult story behind it, but it’s certainly not the common or expected choice for an artist to make – that’s all I meant.

      3. I fully agree with everything you said David.
“artwork like that is not something that came off of a conveyer belt, if you get my meaning.” I do. Her work is breathtaking. She did only six pieces. She left one unfinished. My hope is that one day she will return to painting and then she can get the recognition she deserve. It may take a while.

      1. Wonderful. Immerse us in beautiful poetry again. You were missed, Andrew.
        I am fine, thank you.

      2. Drew, take your time. I don’t want you to stress out. I hope the new project is going well. When you have time I would love to hear about. When you have time. Remember I am here. I am not going anywhere.
Take care of yourself and good luck.

  3. This such a beautiful beautiful piece. I’m overwhelmed by its simplicity yet rustic charm. It brings wonderful colors to my mind. I have started associating poetry with colors and this was right there- a blush pink with warm orange streaks. And that to me, I’d textbook perfect!

    1. Oh, my dearest friend, so glad to have you here. Thank you so much for your wonderful comment and for the praise. I associate poetry with colors too. So there! We are the same. I hope you are well. What did you cook lately?
      xoxoxo

      1. My absolute pleasure friend. I am so glad to see you write again. I’m thrilled to know you associate poetry with colors too.
Tell me bout it. We made loads of lasagna yesterday. Can never get enough of it.
        How’s winter?

      2. Loads of lasagna. That sounds great.
I dream in colors. When I close my eyes I see various colors floating behind my eyelids. I write and every word seems to transform itself into one specific color. That’s the way I am since I can remember.
Winter is mild. It’s not Montreal but we had snow.
        Sending you plenty of love.
        Take good care of you.

        xoxo…

      You ok? 🌹

      1. ok… Because before I always saw your page on the timeline, but now – I have to search by website-name.

      2. Oh, that is so sweet of you to say. Thank you. Happy writing 🥰🌸🥰🌸

    1. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are beyond kind.
Here is the poem. just in case

bring the summer back to me
      to have
      and to hold
      the flesh of sweet cherries
      the fragrance of roses
      when
      cotton candy sunsets sing
      I’ll deliver myself
      in the arms of Morpheus
      forever
      and
      ever

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
      Gabriela
