  2. This is one of my favorite pieces. Every line more gorgeous than the next. The cicada description, being such a fan of that amazing insect, made this piece so memorable for me. “Such an unbelievably creative line!” SpillWords is very busy this morning so it takes a while for the pieces nominated to show up, so they are there but people will have to be a bit patient. Your work is daunting and stunning Gabriela. I voted first thing this morning on SpillWords site. Love Joni

    1. My dearest honeybun, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are such a blessing: a very talented soul and a great friend. Sending you huge hugs, flowers, and the chocolate chips cookies I bake last night just for you.
      Love you

    1. My dearest Corinne, thank you so much. You brought tears in my eyes. I am deeply touched by your gesture and by that of your daughter.

Je vous remercie infiniment. Je vous souhaite une très bonne soirée.
      Gros bisous!
      Gabriela

    1. My fabulous Rachel, thank you so much for your vote and for being here.
Rachel, I am so glad to hear from you. I miss your fabulous poetry and our late night discussions (late night for me :)).
I am sending you all the love in the world.
May you come back my fabulous friend. May you be happy. May you know you are missed. May you know I am here for you.
      Sending boats filled with roses.
      xoxoxo..

      1. I miss those too – I would often be half cooking my dinner and sipping a red wine, and chatting with you was like the icing on the cake for the evening. I miss being on here a lot, in fact I want to come back but I am worried I can’t commit to it like I used to as I just have so much less time.

Honey, I hope you are well, and taking good care of yourself. I have no doubt your career will be going from strength to strength, just like your writing. I’m sending you the scent of jasmine flowers, and a big snuggle and lick from my new puppy (!) Hazel. Flowers and love too of course 🐶❤️🌸💖 xxxooxxoo

      2. My Fabulous Rachel,

I don’t know why I did not see your reply sooner. My apologize sweetheart.
“I miss being on here a lot, in fact I want to come back but I am worried I can’t commit to it like I used to as I just have so much less time.” Rachel, it’s up to you of course. I know it’s a big commitment. I will just say what I have already said. I miss you and your work and I know I am not the only one. I will patiently wait for you to return one day. I am here for you Rachel.

“the scent of jasmine flowers, and a big snuggle and lick from my new puppy (!) Hazel.” Oh, the jasmines is divine and… a new puppy ! How exciting! I want to see a picture of Hazel when you have time.

Sending you love, hugs, and the beautiful colors of autumn. Will you write a poem? I am incorrigible, am I not?
        xoxoxoxoxoxo….

      3. You are wonderfully incorrigible my gorgeous friend. I just felt such a wash of missing you. You have been such a support and friend to me, I don’t think I’ve told you that enough. Just how much your belief in me and warmth to me has meant. Even when I’ve felt I don’t deserve it. You are a very special and very talented person my dear Gabriela. You will forever have a place in my heart. Please tell me you are ok too? Xoxox

      4. My fabulous Rachel,
I am so sorry for my late reply. I have been overwhelmed with work.
I miss you and I believe in you sweetheart. I believe in your extraordinary talent, in your goodness, in your power to be happy, and to overcome difficulties.
You deserve the best Rachel. You do. I don’t know how to make you believe that. I will just keep saying it.
“you will forever have a place in my heart.” Thank you hon. You too.
Am I ok? I work too much. It’s going to be ok by Thanksgiving but till then it’s hard. And even after I will not be able to post every week anymore. It’s just the way it is.
I miss your poems, Rachel. Please come back!
        xoxoxoxo

  4. AHHHH! I remember that beautiful poem! I LOVE it crazy amounts and joyfully have cast my vote! Congratulations and Good Luck, Beauty!!! AND…as per usual, spent time with Your book before coming by. Just read ‘Water’. What?!!! Is that an excerpt from a story. Are You going to add more? I’d so read that…but there was something crazy haunting about it just hanging so fragmented and naked all alone. But…wow. You captured me. I hope You have a most wonderful day, Gabriela!!! Cheers and Hugest hugs! 🤗❤️💕💖😊

    1. AW….. thank you so much Katy. I am most grateful for your vote. YOU ARE AS GORGOUS AS A SUNSHINE ON A TROPIC ISLE. YOU ARE FABULOUS.
“water” is a short excerpt from a novel I am working on. Hopefully I will have time to finish in the next several years 🙂
Thank you for voting. Thank you for reading. Thank you for supporting me.
Have a beautiful rest of the day. Sending you plenty of love and roses.
      xoxoxo

I hope You have a wonderful rest to the day as well! Thank You for the roses! They are passing the fragrant gardenias I’m sending Your way! ❤️❤️❤️!

      2. Thank you my beautiful Katy 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

  5. Wonderful news G! Congratulations!
This was one of the most ethereal poems of yours and sure was felt under the skin. Each words matched the rhythm of one’s heartbeat. All the best to you!

    1. My dearest wonderful friend, I am so sorry for replying late. I have been snowed with work. Still I am.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful comment. You made me so happy.
Sending you plenty of love and again my apologies.
      xoxoxo

      1. It is absolutely fine my friend. It just feels amazing to talk to you once again.
It is my absolute pleasure. I am so glad I could make you happy.
No need to apologize, I just hope things are better and easier now.
        Cheers.

      2. You are a darling. You know that. I am still in the mist of a lot of work. How are you? What cuisine have you explored lately?

      3. That’s a shame! When will you get less busy?
As for me, I did some Swedish pastry today called Rosenmunnar. Also did an amazing Panna cotta, which you’ll see at my blog. What about you?

      4. It’s going to get better after the Thanksgiving when the semester ends.
Swedish pastry today called Rosenmunnar? I need to try that one.
Panna cotta? WOW. I will be heading to your blog soon. Save me some.
        Love
        G.

      5. Actually the pastry’s called jam drops here or thumbprint cookies too. They are delicious.
Please take you time. I have a boat load for you. In fact I’ll make one with cotton candy for you!
