  1. Beautiful motion. Amazing poetry. I’ve never actually seen a poem set to a dance movement before, but it makes perfect sense. This is brilliant.

  2. Wow dear Gabriela❤❤ Such a few words….but a myriad of thoughts were conveyed, so beautifully🌷🌹

    Love and hugs to you💕
Hope you have a splendid week❤

    1. Thank you so much Ishita. You are a sweetheart. I am glad you think so.
Sending you more love and huge hugs. May your week be magical.
      xoxo

  3. Simply great. And, the Tango was always one of my favorite dances when I did ballroom dancing. There’s a reason it’s called the “stalking: dance. 🙂

    1. Thank you so much Darren. It’s my favorite dance too. You did ballroom dancing? Wow! Some day we’ll have to dance together 🙂

  4. I visited Cesária’s home in Mindelo when I was a little kid. Sadly, she wasn’t there at the time (though she used to be, when alive, and many people visited her). The way you conjugate these artworks is beautiful, Gabriela!

    1. I visited her home too. She was not there either. Thank you so much for your kind words JM. They mean a lot to me. Sending you a hug 🙂

  5. Wow I love the simplicity of the words of these two poetic lines and yet the powerful meaning behind them. They went so lovely with the video. Such a provocative and seductive dance and it was such a beautiful compliment to your gorgeous words. I also enjoyed the picture you chose as well. (I really like it when you add videos that compliment the words you write. This was a real treat. For those having trouble seeing the video on their reader, as was I, just go into the shortprose.com and you can watch the video, it is definitely worth it. Love to you beautiful Button. yours, honeybun

    1. Honeybun, thank you so much for taking the time to write such a long and beautiful comment. You are such a blessing. I am thrilled you liked those lines and you think the music goes with them.
Thank you for sharing your experience with others re: video watching. You are a wonderful soul and I can’t thank you enough for everything you are doing.
Sending you plenty of love, hugs, and prayers.
      Have a fabulous day.

      1. Love to you dearest Button. You are so welcome my friend. I do love the videos, it is like an additional treat. Your pictures are always a treat as they always go so well with your posts and when you have a video too, it is like an entire entertainment scenario. Have a blessed day, love, hugs and sunshine coming your way. Yours, honeybun

      1. I wasn’t, but I got stronger painkillers today so hopefully it’ll get better as of this evening.
(Btw, that music, if you weren’t familiar with it, is from the movie Underground by Emir Kusturica, about the break-up of Yugoslavia. A stellar! If you can find it, I warmly recommend it).

      2. Bo, I am sorry you did not feel better. I hope you heal sooner. Sending you lots of love.
Oh, I know that movie. Masterpiece! Here we go.

      3. I am struggling here. Did he make a movie about gypsies? I am pretty sure I saw a great movie about gypsies that happened in former Yugoslavia too. I can’t remember the name. I wish I could.

      4. Yes, he made many films about them. One of the best is Time of the Gypsies. There’s also Black cat, white cat, which isn’t among his best, though.
I also like When Father Was Away on Business, Do You Remember Dolly Bell and Arizona Dream.

      5. The Time of the Gypsies. That was it. Thank you so much Bo. I will try to see if I can get it. That and more.
Thank you again sweetheart. Take good care of you. Hugs to all of you 🌸

  6. Such beautiful imagery. Very evocative with a truth in discovery. As always, such eloquent writing here. It is art in itself. No matter how long or short, there is always something to hold in your work and to take in your mind that makes a nest there. A beauty of a piece that I enjoyed reading. Keep writing your impactful, beautiful words. ❤️❤️

    1. My dearest Lucy,
Thank you so much for your wonderful words.
“It is art in itself.” You touched my heart and my soul. You humbled me beyond words. I am honored.
“No matter how long or short, there is always something to hold in your work and to take in your mind that makes a nest there.” Thank you again. I don’t know what else to say sweetheart.
      Love
      Gabriela

  7. G, most certainly you are a master – of many things, and If madness is your means of your mastery, maybe it’s a good thing 😂. In all seriousness, in such few words, this is magnificent. You really are a gem,
    💎😊♥️🥰 xoxoxo

  8. Good morning G,

Welcome to the loneliness club. I spend many nights ironing my membership card.

This little piece is powerful. It made me think of how people manage their own loneliness.
Thankfully, I have my writing to keep me warm.

    1. Good afternoon Drew,
Thank you for the welcoming words. Where do I pay the fee? 🙂

      1. It’s summer and it’s humid, the world is crying green, your eyes still dream love stories… LOL I’am making this up..

      2. LOL
My eyes always dream of love stories. Remember, I am the hopeless dreamer.

What the world needs now, is love sweet love.
You can quote me on that. Wink

      3. “love sweet love” In one of the most beautiful sunsets I will definitely quote you.

  9. I heard a saying a while back “a life without intimacy is a slow way to freeze to death.”

I thought about that when I read your post.

  10. Beautiful my dearest Button. Simple but not. Also I am guessing your life feels a bit crazy at times. Your poetry is always displayed so gorgeously with your selections of music and paintings. Sending you much love my dear friend.
    Yours honeybun
    ❤️💕🤗🌸
