Thank you to Devika for publishing my poem Phantasmagoria.

You made a doll and projected your soul into it.
You named it after me.
Oh, your infantile state filled with rage and creativity.
In the end the earth devours us.
If you give me that doll, I promise, I will…

      1. We will chase the gold of the setting sun, the cool breezes of ocean air, the pulse of a most vivid life….Hold on, how long do I get to have you? 😁

      2. Yeah, if you leave it to me, we are riding off forever. How could I pass up a life bathed in your beautiful words? If it is a day, I can think of a number of places. If it is an hour, the where just doesn’t really matter as long as it is with you. ❀

      3. Aw… Brad.. this is so beautiful. You know how to touch my soul.
“If it is a day, I can think of a number of places. If it is an hour, the where just doesn’t really matter as long as it is with you. ❀”
        Let’s say it’s a day…

      4. We start with breakfast at the beach in Hilton Head, SC. We spend the day heading west trying to flee the setting sun. And we watch it set sitting a mile in the air on the Cherohala Skyway, in the Great Smoky Mountains of NC. The rest of the hours are up to you…😁❀

      5. I’m sold. It’s going to be a splendid day. That day you have to write a poem too.

      6. I’ll read it when we return from the trip. After dinner, over a glass of red..

    1. My Queen of Poetry is here. I am so trilled you liked it, Yassy.
Love and hugs to you sweetheart.

    1. Thank you so much Bo. He projected himself into the doll. So the doll is scary πŸ™‚
Congratulations on your publication too. I read the poem in the magazine.
      Sending you love
      G.

      1. The doll, as a symbol, appears mostly in psychopathology. The personality of the sick person is projected into the doll. Dolls are generally scary. So yes, makes you wonder who held them..

  1. Congradulations beautiful Button on your new publication. How cleaver and daunting this piece is as well as thought provoking. Your words captivate as always and the imagery is so vivid. “Can you see the fruits? Their skin is humid, and their virgin eyes are filled with desires.” I love that you asked for the doll back at the end. Powerful writing my friend. Love to you and congratulations again. Joni (honeybun)

    1. Oh, my dearest honeybun . Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your beautiful words. You are a wonderful and supportive friend. You are a blessing. I am trilled you liked the poem. Yes, I need to take that doll back from him πŸ™‚

      1. My pleasure – Yes, I am glad you got that doll back. It is strange that you wrote this as I was just watching a show that had a scene where phantasmagoria was being experienced in the 19th century. Very cleverly written. xoxoxo love honeybun

      2. Oh, thank you so much honeybun. You are a gem. Sometimes strange things happen. But we always have the light and the divine love.
Have a splendid rest of the day

      xoxoxoxo…

  5. Love the opening lines of this piece! It is almost frightening and makes me think of the lonely doll head so often shown with pictures of the sunken Titanic.

  6. You got my attention with the doll and projecting emotions. Again, you reminded me of another Grimm tale. I loved the last lines too — the determined tone. Always great work, Gabriella!

    1. My Dearest B, you are a sweetheart. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support.

      1. Dear G!!please don’t mind if i say that reading your poem”Phantasmagoria,i am feeling some horrible feeling about drew. How he is-i don’t know.If my asking in such way is wrong, please forgive me.

      2. My dearest Aruna, I am very sorry that you feel so bad. I can assure you this poem has nothing to do with Drew. That said, I do not know anything about Drew and I do not intend to reach out to him until he reaches out. I pray he is fine. He just had heart surgery. He let everyone know that he was fine. I think you should stay clam and pray. He will be fine. hopefully you will hear from him soon. I hope this helps you my dear.

      3. Aruna, my dear, you have nothing to apologize for. I know you did not mean to insult me. I understand you are anxious. All I am trying to do is to tell you that I don’t think you have any reason to be distraught. I am sure Drew will reach out to you as soon as he can. Take care.

    1. Thank you so much Sofia. Your praise means a lot to me.
      Sending you love and blessings.
      Gabriela
