      “You are my inspiration!” This means more than you will ever know. My plan – as soon as I can – is to go through your most recent poems again and pick one and see if we can worked it together.
      I really need “un fuerte abrazo de Espanya.” I don’t have a depressive nature but somehow the entire thing is starting to get to me. So can I get dos abrazos? Not the movie 🙂 Real virtual abrazos.

      1. Don’t let conditions around you (that you cannot control) ever bring you down or get to you. Even if there is a tornado around you, you must stay in your centre, your balance, your peace so that you can react in the best way possible…I learned in the military to adapt, improvise and overcome and it applies to everything in life. Stay strong, active, creative but home, away from others. We are on our 13th day of lock-down and we are coping and happy knowing that it is for the better good. Every evening at 8p we all go to our balconies (mirador) and applaud for the health workers, police, the clerks at the supermarket, the street sweepers, the truck drivers, the transportation people and all those that keep us fed and tranquil. It is not much but it is an emotional moment for most of us because for that brief span of time we realise how many people are on the front lines so that we can be happy at home…so don’t worry or get depressed, this will pass, what we must do is maintain our spirits (wine in the evening helps) and our communication with friends, so keep in touch. Stay safe,

      2. Francisco, thank you so much for your encouragement, wisdom, and care. You are right. Own the moment and the chaos will happen around you not inside you. I am a fighter – I always said it – and I will fight this too. Yet, I am also a complicated woman and it surprises me how much it takes to fight myself now. Usually I do that very well.

Those are unbelievable moments that fill my heart with joy. I am really glad that this is happening. That’s beyond beautiful!
        I maintain my communication with all my friends here and all over the world. The result is that this morning I woke up to about 25 messages -all of them coming from Europe – so depressing that I choked. Yesterday when I taught two of my students (one former military) enter the Zoom sick. They are sick and isolated. Nobody will test them because they are not sick enough (sic!) That really got me.
        Anyway thank you so much for the dos abrazos fuertes de Espanya, amor y energia. They took me to heaven. You are great. Gracias de todo corazón, Francisco.
