seduction #poem #poetry

the rhythm of castanets awakens the moon
on opal rings your kisses spin
a cricket’s hitting a crescendo
waves tattoo dark shadows on your skin
sonority, you who vibrates the souls
of those who haunt at night the Port of Cartagena

I toss in smells of apricots and plumes
the Hand of Fatima takes off my veils
your forehead sinks into the sweat of lovers
who sever their veins
oh, dream of the unknowns,
you, latency,
the sigh of blood which flows
in spring both mud and flowers grow

didn’t you know
that when you said I love you
you stepped on roads of fables and folk tales?
you glued your heart onto a purple sunset
smells of lilac and of roses, impregnated strolls,
seduction,
it wasn’t me
it was you who stole his soul

      1. I plan to go to sleep very early. I have a very difficult week. Nothing exciting on my end 🙂

  2. il ritmo delle nacchere risveglia la luna
sugli anelli opalici i tuoi baci fanno girare

odori di lilla e di rose, passeggiate impregnate,
    seduzione,
    non ero io
    che ti rubavi l’anima

    1. AW… Thank you so much, Flavio. Grazie di cuore. I am so humbled and delighted you liked the poem and took the time to translate it. The Italian translation takes my breath away. Thank you once again.

    1. Thank you so much, my dear Luisa. Always grateful for your support 🙂

    1. Oh, aren’t you one of my sweetest friends and supporters? Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can’t wait to hear your opinion on my book. You made my day. I guess you know that. Thank you again.

      1. You’re very welcome! I read a ton of poetry and yours always runs a mile and a half ahead form the herd. Glad to hear it, it’s going to be one heck of a collection I’m sure 😄

      2. You are really kind. I woke up with a heavy soul. Your words lifted that heaviness. It is the praise but it is your willingness to read that touched me most.
Have a splendid day ahead and thank you from the bottom of my heart again.
        Gabriela

      3. Very glad to hear that, it’s always nice to hear that you made someone’s day!! ☺️ you too Gabriela, can’t wait for the next poem!

  3. “on opal rings your kisses spin

Wow you grab us at the beginning Gabriela. Into your world of seduction, lust and pain all expressed with such a sense of “hanging on for the next word”. I can’t wait to get my hands on this book. Please do a post so we all know where we can find it. My husband and I both want to buy it as soon as it comes out. We will read it together. Have a blessed day my dear friend. I hope your students know how blessed they are to have you as one who is so gifted. Hugs and love 💕 😘😘 Joni xxxx

    1. Thank you so much for your beautiful words Joni. They shine on my soul in this dark morning. My deepest thanks to you and your husband for your incredible kindness. Sending you blessings, love and plenty of flowers, hon.
      xoxo

      1. I don’t think you mean it is dark. I hope you won’t think I am nuts but I am an intuitive old soul and I feel we have a unique connection of sorts. I will continue to pray for all things beautiful and blessed for you my friend. No need to respond I know you are a busy young woman. Have an amazing day sweet button. 😘😘

      2. You made me smile. “I hope you won’t think I am nuts” No. I do not think you are nuts. I think you are intuitive and very talented. It’s the retrograde of Mercury that bothers me. I hope you do not think I am nuts 🙂

      3. I am glad I made you smile. No I don’t think you are nuts quite the opposite. 😘😘 now I am also smiling. Hopefully Mercury is not currently going backwards. Haha. I am a Capricorn no mistaking that. Love 💕 you. Have a day filled with happiness and more smiles, sweet button.

  4. Deeply mystical. A magical potion that fills the eyes of the reader. Intoxicated to say the least as I savour this piece of delicious verse ❤️

    1. Aw… you are so sweet my Queen of Poetry. Thank you from the bottom of my heart sweetheart.
May your days be filled with love.

  5. I can really feel the sounds you have created in this precious poem…the castanets, “palillos” as the andaluz call them, I can taste the flavours you have created, masterfully, with the precise word, the perfect phrasing…the rhythm, the passion and the mystical mood. Excellent. Lovely beyond words, beautifully written as to create indelible images…wonderful work Gabriela, congratulations a million times,
hope you’ve a lovely weekend, a great Saturday and that you truly enjoy!
    A big hug from Spain,
    F.

    1. Thank you so much, Francisco. I am humbled by your words. I will keep them in my heart and perhaps listen to the sound of castanets this weekend 😊

      Dos abrazos

  6. Excelent!
Chestia cu, valuri (unde, vibrații…) – care – tatuează umbre întunecate pe pielea ta, m-a dat pe spate.

Spor cu Passion: Love Poems and Other Writings
