and…love… #love poem #poetry

and…
this night is jasmine and is sand
the trees are fingers with no end
the earth has eyes
the tears have thighs

you…
you are the voice of lonely heights
I am the day without sights
a leaf is falling on my hips
into the air a form of lips

and…
your touches hide in poetry
a flower faints with jealousy
your dreams taste like forbidden fruits
the sea grows almonds and grows roots

yet…
the story didn’t write its end
my eyes and yours are a blend
and…
love…

    1. Aw…. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope everything is well with you my Queen of Poetry.

  1. AW THIS IS GORGEOUS

    Good morning G,

Let me compose myself. Ah-hem. You describe things like no one esle can. The tears have thighs……

You have this unbelievable way to write with subtle sensuality fertilizing illusions, desires, and images in your reader. Honestly, this one just blew me away. And a second and third read through, do not diminish its brilliance. It only get better like fine wine.

    Sigh.

    Bravo Amiga.

    1. AWWW… Thank you so much and good morning, Drew. I am humbled by your comment and happy you liked the piece.
“to write with subtle sensuality fertilizing illusions, desires, and images” Those words of yours are beautiful! Thank you again. I don’t know what else to say.
Drew, I hope you are well. I wish you the most darling day ever.
      G.
What do we know about that lipstick at this point? Did you ask her?

      1. Doing well today. 112/70. The sun is bright the sky a beautiful blue. And I just read this gorgeous poem that makes the morning even more beautiful than it already is.

The lipstick…..sigh. I will be honest with you. I always melt for classy women. Women who are 100% feminine. I really believe a woman can compete with men and still be all woman.,
Silly me, perhaps. No, the right term would be me the dreamer.

I still dream. And your poetry is the perfect way to start a daydream.

      2. Oh, your are showering me with compliments today. Thank you. 112/70. I am glad. You are doing better than I this morning.
“I always melt for classy women.” You told me that. I love classy too.

” I really believe a woman can compete with men and still be all woman.,
Silly me, perhaps. No, the right term would be me the dreamer.”
I don’t understand your skepticism. Competing with a man in a work place it means kind of working 8 times harder than a man to get the same recognition (latest data from the Chronicle of Higher Education re: American academia) but even so women can still wear lipstick. If you do that you work 9 times harder, but… that’s life,
Cheer up: brain and beauty go together. no mismatch there.
May love and gorgeous dreams be with you today.
        G.

    1. Thank you for your kind words, Eric. They warm my heart. It’s cloudy hear. Send me some sunshine, please 🙂

      1. I wish I could, Gabriela. We’re on our second weekend of severe weather in the UK – heavy rain and strong winds – flood alerts throughout the country – it’s grim for so many. Boris wants to build high speed train networks and Scotland-Ireland bridges – we want him to keep the sea out and rivers where they should be! All the best. Eric.

      2. I saw that on BBC. Actually it’s all over the internet too. It’s terrible. I am so sorry, Eric.
“Boris wants to build high speed train networks and Scotland-Ireland bridges” Sure he does and we know why.
But as you said, right now the sea and the rivers need to be kept where they belong.
Eric, I wish you, your family, and your friends all the best. I hope there will be no disastrous consequences for anyone in GB.
        Take care.
        Gabriela

    1. Ay, Vidur, thank you so much for such a wonderful comment.
“which even when its over…leaves the taste buds wanting more!” I thought that may be a good thing 🙂
Thank you again. Have a lovely rest of the week.

    1. Thank you for your kindness and willingness to share. I am delighted by your request. So, my answer is yes.
Happy writing to you too 🙂

      1. Yeah, I was wondering if this is one of them 😊
Have a great week ahead and thank you for reading and commenting Bo.

      2. Please try to. I am working and I couldn’t sleep last night at all. It feels like hell now. So please try to get some sleep. I gather B is ok.

    1. Darling, thank you so much for those beautiful flowers. Sending you back hugs and blessings 🌸🌺💝😘🤗

    1. Oh, thank you so much my dear Gina. There is some calmness in the beauty of your words that always makes me happy.
May you have a blessed evening sweetheart.
      xoxo
      Gabriela

  2. You have a talent for bestowing the surroundings with such magic… in this case with love.

this night is jasmine and is sand
the trees are fingers with no end
the earth has eyes
the tears have thighs

Gabriela. I’m going to have to go ahead and faint with the flower – not with jealousy though, but from the beauty of this poem. And then the ending that is not really an ending… there is no ending to this love.
    And…

Anything you want dear G. Just keep writing more of these beautiful poems, ok? xoxoxo

    1. My Dearest Rachel,

Thank you form the bottom of my heart for your beautiful comment. I was about to faint when I read it. I guess we won’t be of any use if we both faint 🙂

Oh, sweetheart, I am beyond grateful for your wonderful words. As always I am touched by your kindness.
“there is no ending to this love” I think there is no ending to any kind of love, if it’s love. You know what I mean.

Rachel. Rachel. Rachel … I am sending you boats loaded with thanks and real love, my fabulous friend.

May happiness be with you today and forever.

“Anything you want dear G” Your friendship, Rachel.
      xoxoxo

  3. Absolutely loved this poem! It sings, it dances and it reflects something very beautiful, very intense and very passionate…these lines are perfect: “your touches hide in poetry
    a flower faints with jealousy
your dreams taste like forbidden fruits
the sea grows almonds and grows roots”
With every new poem you write you grow, you extend your “sensibilidad artistica” and send it through space and I feel each word and love them because you are right, “the earth has eyes…” You do create magic, Gabriela…
Hope your Monday is bright and your week lovely.
Mil abrazos de Valencia, hoy y siempre,
    F.

    1. Good afternoon Francisco,
It’s afternoon in Valencia and probably the ghosts of the carnival still linger in its beautiful streets. I hope you had a fantastic time.
Thank you for your comment. What can I say? I am humbled by it and struck by its beauty.
“With every new poem you write you grow, you extend your “sensibilidad artistica” and send it through space and I feel each word and love them.” I feel your kindness, the power of your colors, words, and music. They touch my heart. Thank you for being such an unbelievable artist and friend.
Your words indulge me. What am I going to do the day they will stop coming for one reason or another? 🙂
      Have a beautiful afternoon, Francisco.
May the glow and happiness of the carnival still be with you.
      Mil abrazos
      Gabriela

      1. What can I say, Gabriela, your words of art inspire me, I can feel the depths of the passion in your poetry…which reflects and clearly illustrates the beautiful woman that you are. Thank you for such lovely words, I am the one humbled but I know they come from your heart. Yes, the carnaval was a lot of fun…we are getting ready for a much bigger event, “Las Fallas” which happen every year starting 01 MAR with the Mesclata at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and the festival ends on the eve of San Jose, when the fallas are burned in situ…it is extraordinary! Of course after you go through several years of Fallas you want to take a holiday during the last week because it is insane the amount of rockets, firecrackers and other little noise making explosive devices can be detonated everywhere in the city. But I am rambling and I am sure you know quite well what Fallas are all about…In any event, thank you, it is a lovely afternoon here and I wish you a lovely Monday and rest of the week as well!
        Mil abrazos querida amiga,
        F.

      2. My words do come from my heart and your art inspires and shines, matador.
        Oh, spring is coming!!!!
“we are getting ready for a much bigger event, “Las Fallas” which happen every year starting 01 MAR with the Mesclata at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and the festival ends on the eve of San Jose, when the fallas are burned in situ…it is extraordinary!”
I know it’s insane but enjoy it, feel it, let yourself be the carnival itself: lights, costumes, ancient traditions. Carnivals are the days when we become we; times when because masques go up on our faces, we forget our fears of being judge by others, and we become we. In reality the masques go down. We are supposed to free our souls. Perhaps more, it depends 🙂 I am fascinated with the origin of the word carnival: carn “flesh”; levare “put away”

I am glad your afternoon was lovely. Thank you from my heart for your kind wishes.
        May your tomorrow be beautiful
        G.

  4. OMG…..I just read your poetry and honestly, the words you impose are what everyone feels but couldn’t be able to put into words……you truly have a talent when it comes to poetry…
God Bless you……looking forward to more poems

    1. Thank you from the bottom of my heart from your beautiful words. Your kindness touched my heart.
      Lots of blessings and hugs.
      Gabriela
