the biblical sense of to know
born in a summer that never existed
nailed to the cross of your poems
I’m losing my mind inside the blue night
I reach you in dreams you do not understand
It hurts when I’m there
It hurts when I’m not
I ask for the help gravediggers can grant
I wrote I love you on a note that I locked
It wasn’t a snake, it was an iguana
the night the tango nuevo played its guitar
on fifteen decades you counted your prayers
my fingers were naked
my fingers were gloved

Quite amazing and beautiful. The elegance in your work can glimmer any readers sight 👌🙏
Thank you so much my dear. Your words humble me. Sending you plenty of sunshine. 😘
Welcome G, keep shining🌟
You too, my dear.
Luscious words that to me describe a love that ended in tragedy or death. The woman tries to forget but still longs for him. Hands naked symbolic of when they were together and gloved when she said goodbye at the grave. That is why I love poetry, it can mean something different to every one. Lovely Gabriela. Love 💕 Joni
Jonni, you left me speechless. I am not going to say anything more than you did. “That is why I love poetry, it can mean something different to every one.”
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your unbelievable comment and kindness. I am thrilled you loved the poem.
Be loved this weekend, Joni.
xoxoxoxo
You too💕❤️

We turn to Hamlet: “To be or not to be.” Sometimes we are in that existential void. I really liked your poem.
Thank you so much. Your comment humbles and honors me. It fills my heart with joy too. I am really grateful for your support.

A beautiful capturing of the pain, interwoven with the remembered promises, of a sacrificed love. Touching moments streaked with tears. Well written G!

‘Shorts – A take on poetry’ to be published by Potter’s Grove Press this summer – final version of manuscript will be with River Dixon next week for editing. Exciting times my friend!
Wonderful. Congratulations. That’s exciting. So, we will exchange books.

Wonderful, Gab. So subtle and elegant. Hurts all the same.
Thank you so much, Bojana. It means a lot to me you liked it. How is little B, doing? Is is behaving today? 🙂
Oh yes. Went swimming. Sleeping now so I can catch up.
Best remedy is to tire them up. Kids go crazy when they are inside.
haha! you got to tire him everyday. I am glad you guys are well.
Have a great weekend, Bo.
Will do. You too, hon.
Your words impart beauty to tragedy…so difficult to pick one line. This is exquisitely heartbreaking.
Thank you so much, my dear 😘💕
My pleasure. 💞
Hope your weekend was good.
It going still. Thank you.
This left me with a curious sense of sadness! I love the two final lines.
Thank you so much, Java. I am thrilled you enjoyed those lines.
🤗💕
To fully appreciate this last creature of yours I have to use the translator for a few words ..
In OT
Hi Gabriela, I leave you, you will excuse me, here the translation of my verses that you have seen, perhaps, in assembly
Secret silences open on the heart
they are still peeling,
aromas are given.
Fragrant silence,
thin
underlying
spaces open
and concealing blushes
enchant the heart.
You can’t hold them
if they open on the fly
if on recall
underlying
they respond to the wind.
You can’t own them
if they fill valleys,
if they browse days,
and concealing blushes
they baffle the heart
in the noons of fire.
Oh, thank you dear. That is very kind of you.

Oh Gabriela, your words are poetically moving, and I adored these lines…..
” I wrote I love you on a note that I locked
It wasn’t a snake, it was an iguana”
Thank you so much, Ivor. It’s this weekend’s nostalgia.
Le nice.
Thank you 😊

“I reach you in dreams you do not understand It hurts when I’m there It hurts when I’m not”
My dear G. This poem to me is like a dream, layered and full of symbolism – the details open to interpretation, but the emotions behind it, so powerfully speak of love and tragedy to me.
Your work is magnificent, like the ocean I send you love and hugs on 🌊❤️🌸 xoxox
My dearest Rachael,
I do not know how I missed your comment.
Thank you so much for your kind words. “full of symbolism” that really makes me happy. Did I do it? Can I aspire to be some kind of cross between symbolism and surrealism in poetry? I can have all sorts of aspirations but at the end of the day I am going to remain just me.
I’ll cook for you if you do what you promised me 🙂
Sending you hugs, flowers, chocolates. They are across the ocean now. Please make sure you catch them.
xoxoxo
Oh G, I caught them…
You should aspire to be whatever you desire – reach for the stars my friend, you of all people will touch them. Your poetry is… sublime. It’s surreal, it’s full of symbolism, it’s… incredible.
I need you to cook for me, you are persuasive.
Happy Monday gorgeous, sending you happiness on a sparkling sea xoxoxo
Thank you for the high praise Rachel. ” It’s surreal, it’s full of symbolism,” I trust you. And I promise I’ll try to do better.
“I need you to cook for me, you are persuasive.” I will. Not this summer, perhaps next summer I can make it happen. I am thinking about traveling there.
Have a fabulous week, and thank you again for being the soul that you are.
xoxoxo
Wow wow wow!!! I’ll pick you up at the airport next summer 🌸🍷🍽🌊 xoxoxo
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I really hope I can make that happen.
