Two of my poems included in “Pain & Renewal: A Poetry Anthology” published by Vita Brevis Press #poetry #anthology

My Dear Readers,

Vita Brevis just published Pain & Renewal: A Poetry Anthology. I have two poems included: The Dark Flag of Pain and Autumn Healing.

Pain & Renewal features a collection of incredible voices — from Pulitzer and Pushcart prize winners to brand new poets, it’s filled with moving poetry about the highs and lows of the human experience.”

You can get the digital version here.

And you can get the print version here.

Here is a snippet from my poem Autumn Healing:

..this autumn stretches purple shadows
over unending fields of sweet corn and hurt souls
it brings from the depth the lacustrine goddess
who heals all wounds with yesterday’s mirth…

      1. Oh, I can send you in exchange some ghostly looking trees and hauling winds; winter images that one paints in his/her mind when reading Wuthering Heights, but I am afraid you will not trade 🙂

      1. Not only are you a magnificent writer but you have a magnificent heart. I am doing ok thanks Gabriela. I had to cancel a camping trip (bit tricky on crutches), but I do think my ankle is healing, I am slowly starting to put some weight on it!
Best of luck for classes starting again tomorrow. And how is that moon treating you now??!!

      2. Rachel, I do not know if you wanted to cancel the camping trip, but I think you did the right thing. I am glad to hear that your ankle is healing.
Ay, the weight. Don;t worry sweetheart. It will go away once you start walking again. Just don’t eat too many chocolates 🙂
Yes, classes are starting tomorrow. I am almost ready. I may have to work 3-4 hours today till I get everything under control, but that’s fine.
The moon left. I can’t be more happy.
Sending you lots of love, my fabulous Rachel.
Take good care of you and thank you for everything.
