I waltz into an empty ballroom
yesterday the ghost of Maja haunted Goya in the streets
hungry demons haunted you…

I hope you had a wonderful Halloween 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, sweetheart. Hearing from my Queen of Poetry is always a blessing.
Love and hugs to you ❤️🤗

      1. You are welcome my High Priestess of the exotic verse. Your work is deliciously delicately awesome. No reward is enough for your kind of talent .
Love hugs and smiles all the way from here to you. 🌞🤗😊

      2. Awwww… I am so humbled by your words, sweetheart. I don’t think I deserve them. I hope I deserve your friendship and I am so grateful for your kindness.
Take good care of you, Yassy.
        xoxo

      3. So happy to have your friendship, G. You are a good person. Considering how enormously talented you are, you are so wonderfully down to earth. I love that you keep a good head on your shoulders.

      4. You are the best, Yassy. I cannot thank you enough for your friendship and your support. They mean the world to me.

  1. Good morning G,

Congrats. So happy to see your work being shared with the world.
Now, this piece, oh my. Breathtaking and haunting.

“the molecules of those who’ll never be”

    “I buried our wedding bands
inside the mist of that which never is”

Melancholic lines of uncertainty that echoes througout the poem and in our souls. This piece deserved the attention.

Then your little finale of introspection – perfect.

    1. Good morning Drew.
I hope it is a good morning for you. As for me I am still in the “dark.” Is Halloween over? On top WP is giving me a lot of trouble.

Thank you so much for the congrats and the praise. I am humbled by your wonderful words.
Melancholy and uncertainty is my name this morning. Confusion too.
Are you going to post today?
      G.

      1. Laughing my head off. Today is Friday. I posted yesterday.

Lady G in melancholy, uncertainty, and confusion. No lo creo. Imposible. Perhaps you need a little more sleep. Or a good cup of strong java. Do a Starbucks run. Or better yet, should I mail you a jar of sunshine and warm island breezes?

Halloween is over. I didn’t get any candy, but I did watch the moon last night and that was sweet.

Have an inspiring day. It is Friday. Relax and enjoy the weekend.

      2. You better believe it. I have no idea what I need because I am confused 🙂 I am not going to Starbucks. It’s cold. I do not want to run and I do not want to drive. I have Colombian coffee. I’ll make some and then visit your blog.
Abrazos, Drew. What language is this?

    1. Thank you so much, Ash,. You are wonderful. I can’t hope for more.
May your day be bright and sunny 🙂

      1. 67 is just a number. As for the feet .. perhaps you need a little training.

      2. Ah, a number doesn’t ache or early evening fall asleep. My late parents were excellent ballroom/latin dancers as is my slightly younger brother, as for me, I’ve had plenty lessons, yet no muscle memory for both steps or rhythm, it’s a mystery to me, Gabriela!

      3. You are different, Eric. Still I am going to invite you to a waltz sometimes 🙂
It must be late there. Enjoy your evening.

  2. Wow, wow, wow!!! This poem jumped at me like a wild lynx, seized my heart and devoured me with its beauty. So evocative, every single line individually breathtaking, but the whole together, magnificent.

    “hungry demons haunted you
effervescence, the molecules of those who’ll never be,”

Just one of the phrases I adored.

Amazing dear G. How do you do it???
    Xoxo 😘

    1. Aw.. how can I thank you for this breathtaking comment? You left my speechless.
      You are unbelievable, Rachel.
Sending you all the love in the world.
      xoxoxoxo

      1. No need to thank me, your poetry is a gift, one that I treasure. I need to thank you.
I’ll send you a little Spring sunshine, and love and hugs back dear friend
        ☀️🌷🌊💌 xxoo

      2. I am still going to thank you, Rachel. You deserve plenty of thanks.
Spring sunshine. It’s spring in the southern hemisphere! Yay! It must be beautiful. Do you ever see snowdrops?

      3. Yes! I love them! They are pretty much finished for the season now though I think. We have actually had a really changeable and often rainy spring, but today is a good day to capture spring sunshine for you, it’s beautiful out there.

      4. I love them too! Thank you for the sunshine. Enjoy the beautiful morning sweetheart .
Don;t forget to tell me a story about little Rachel when you have time.
        xoxo

      1. Please know I deeply appreciate your kindness. It’s a pleasure to interact with you.
