never sinned #poem #poetry

your eyes are apple green
my eyes are forged in fire
tears of joy hold hands
the sky is blue
the air is pure
the music blooms
we didn’t sleep
yet why does this morning feel
like we have never sinned?

  1. Oh my. I read your poems and I have these images of you caressing every word with soft fingers before placing them in your inspiring poetry. Here I imagined a bedroom all white; almost cloud like. Everything about this was tender and warm. As gentle as a first kiss; as beautiful as a garden of love.

This piece breathed love. There was a sweet tenderness here that was heavenly. Sigh.

Have gorgeous day my friend. This was gorgeous from title to finish.

    1. Thank you so much, Drew. What a magnificent description. I am really humbled by your words: the first kiss; the garden of love; tenderness; heaven. Thank you again for these words.
I am thrilled you enjoyed the poem.
Have a beautiful day! May all your wishes come true!

  2. For such a short piece this has so much going. One can feel the softness and tenderness with the tears holding hands but also the passion in the eyes of fire, the perfection in the sky of blue but also the ever so subtle tension in the question near the end. There is so much being expressed so precisely in so tight a space that it forces the reader to stop and process it all. Lovely, G!

    1. Oh, David. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Your comment is beautiful and your reading so right. I am grateful to you for each word.
