autumn fantasy #poem #poetry

I linger in your dream
like autumn in the trees
leaves sigh on my hips
a cricket’s crying in despair
pianos cough old rhapsodies
your eyes see another me

  1. Sometimes the fantasy is so powerful that the reality leaves us feeling flat. “Your eyes see another me”, so often in others (particularly those about whom we fantasise” we perceive what we wish to see, rather than what is, in fact there. Leaves fall and our fantasies turn to dust, although I can also see the poem as a fantasy about making love in the autumn woods. But perhaps the poem is both, or maybe neither of these. Great poem, Gabriela. Kevin

    1. Thank you so much, Kevin. I love your interpretations. They mean a lot to me. Perhaps.. perhaps..
Have a fabulous rest of the day.

    1. Happy Saturday, Drew
Thank you so much for the praise.
“After reading this beauty everyone will see so much more in you.” Including me πŸ™‚
“his gorgeous thing will linger in all of us.” I am humbled by your words.
      Have a magical day.
      Be loved.

    1. Thank you for your wonderful comment.
“I live in fantasy just to avoid the perplexity of real world” I think I understand that.
May you have a beautiful rest of the weekend.

      1. So are your words and so is your heart, Vidur. Please know this.
        Best wishes to you too.

  2. Beautiful posting with the perfect blend of poetry and breathtaking scenes… As a writer/editor and wordsmith, I do believe that less is more, when each word is filled with imagery. That is what captured my heart in your posting. –bowmanauthor/bowmaneditor

    1. My most sincere thanks. I am humbled and honored by your comment.
May your day be filled with love and magic.

    1. My dearest Wendi, thank you so much for your beautiful comment. I am trying to figure out its exact meaning. I’m slow today πŸ™‚
Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
      Lots of blessings to you.

  3. A fantasy to linger within, hold onto through the winter. Don’t let go…
β€œYour eyes see another me” – I hope that your eyes see the same beauty that the rest of us all do.

    Love and hugs G xoxo

    1. Hello my lovely R.
Thank you so much for your beautiful comment.
I will hang on if you say so, but I am sure winter will bring more fantasies πŸ™‚
“I hope that your eyes see the same beauty that the rest of us all do.” Oh, you are so sweet. I do not really what I see now. I am pretty down. But this too shall pass.
Returning all the love and hugs; some extras too.

      1. G. I am so sorry to hear you are down, I wish somehow I could just hop over that ocean and sit with you, bring you a gift, some flowers, food, a candle, make you tea, or somehow cheer you up. Goodness shines though your writing, I see it so clearly.

Extra love and hugs, indeed xoxo

      2. Oh, R, you are so sweet. Your kindness cheered me up already. Got the flowers and the candle.
What kind of tea? πŸ™‚ And were are my chocolates? πŸ™‚
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
        Have a beautiful week, sweetheart.

      3. Chocolates are a given G, I would never forget them. In a love heart box πŸ’. Scented candle…. because, fragrance is important. As for tea… of course, I would provide a selection in the hope one of them would be just right. You are tricky, my little Goldilocks, I know coffees and wine much better than I know tea. What tea would you choose?
You have a beautiful week too xoxo

      4. Thank you for the chocolate, my dear. I am tricky and some times high maintenance. Emotionally speaking πŸ™‚
Wine? What kind of wine do you like? Ready to send you a bottle, R. Can you visualize a bottle of wine floating in the ocean while looking for your shore? I sent it. Is it there yet?

      5. I got it, just in time to enjoy with my evening. Not even salty in the slightest. A beautiful Italian red I believe…
I must work out what your emotional cup of tea is my dear. Emotionally high maintenance!!! I just take that as a challenge πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ·πŸ΅πŸŒΊπŸ’

      6. Ouch, it’s evening for you not morning. I told you I can’t figure the time, Re: high maintenance emotionally. I was joking.
A beautiful Italian red… Masseto. Is that red? If it is I’ll make it two. I mean two bottles and.. lots of hugs for a sweet and beautiful young lady. For you

      7. Awww G. Perhaps there is something about September?? I don’t know, I’ve struggled with writing lately. My heart is feeling a little lost, and words are struggling to flow from it. I’ll write something sometime soon. I’ve been considering a blogging break. I don’t know…

      8. I think it was something about September. The entire month I struggled too. I still am. Perhaps a break will be good for both of us. But then how am I supposed to talk to you? And I want to read you. Now, I am really high maintenance πŸ™‚

  4. Indugio nei tuoi sogni
    come autunno tra gli alberi
    sospiro di foglie sui fianchi
    un grillo piange disperato
    pianoforti tossiscono vecchie rapsodie
i tuoi occhi vedono un altro me

rubo per i miei Gioielli domenicali, grazie e saluti dall’Italia

    1. Grazie di cuore, Flavio.
I am humbled and honored as always. I am also very touched by your generosity.
      Una buona giornata πŸ™‚

  5. This is so lovely, Gabriela!!! I’m off to look at the Italian version as well….don’t speak Italian but it will be fun to see! Thank You and Cheers!!! πŸ™‚
