love in blue and black #poem #poetry #music

my love,
I speak to you through centuries of pain
trees spin barren branches in the air
when loneliness rains on blue hills
I crush my heart
so yours can still beat
ocean waves embrace the moon’s pale chest
instead of tears
I shed naked pearls
to wash the effigy of your acoustic agony
and mend the painful scratches from your skin
with my imaginary fingers
in blue and black the time I bend
and no matter who I am
a human or a spirit
I swear to you
I’ll love you till the end.

  1. Hola G,

Your name isn’t the only thing that starts with G. This was Gorgeous.

    “I crush my heart
    so yours can still beat”

Oh, I wish I said that. I mean it in a very good way. It was so beautiful. Still resonating in my soul. This one is now on the top of my SPF favorites. Ay, I can’t say enough about this beauty. Sigh worthy.

    1. Hola Drew,
Thank you so much for your the praise. I do not know if I deserve it but I will take it.
I am glad you liked those lines. I really am.

Have a wonderful day, Drew. make sure you make it wonderful. Almost an order πŸ™‚
I saw your excerpt. I’ll be there soon to comment.

      1. You have plenty of skills, Drew. I’m impressed. Yet, I think you should write πŸ™‚ I do.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words, Joseph. They mean a lot to me. I am well. I hope you are well too. I did not hear from you lately so I was a bit worried.

      1. Not to worry. I am spending less and less time on social media. I finished my book and time for an agressive edit. My journey in life has taken a different journey. I try to pop my head up once in a while.

      2. You finished your book. That;s great news, Joseph. Congratulations. Please keep me posted. Looking forward to reading it.

  2. Dear G. I can honestly say that I think this is one of the most beautiful things I have ever read. I don’t even know where to start, you have left me speechless. The love that is in this poem, this centuries old love is transcendental, to have this kind of love, would make someone feel like they could do anything, like any pain could be cured.

    “I crush my heart
    so yours can still beat”

The care and beauty in that…. (And the personal sacrifice and pain)

Oh G, i am listening to every word…

“ocean waves embrace the moon’s pale chest
    instead of tears”

    “I shed naked pearls
to wash the effigy of your acoustic agony
and mend the painful scratches from your skin”

Speechless, I only have sighs left at my disposal, I can’t even say.

I think I have a new favourite poem. Your talent is simply incredible.
