founders of love #poem #poetry

I patch your wounds
you kiss my hands
I scream
you laugh
the Spinner threads our life
the Archer shoots the moon
our house grows in trees
your hands and mine
founders of love
a church bell tolls
I steer the boat
you raise the sail
serenities of underwater stars
another brick
another tear
another year

  1. Gorgeous penning today, dear G! I especially adored β€œthe Spinner threads our life
the Archer shoots the moon” by their simplicity but also how well it stood out overall in the piece. πŸ’•πŸŒΈ

    1. Thank you so much, my defeat K. You are so good to me. I hope everything is going well. Writing a novel?

      1. My pleasure! Things are still chaotic, not slowing down as much as I’d like… and yes I am! About halfway down with it now. From the looks of your blog, you’ve got a lot going on writing wiseβ€” I’m so thrilled for you!!!!

      2. Half done? Congratulations. I am thrilled. Can’t wait to read it. Much love to you and I hope things slow down so you can write more.

  2. Good morning, G!
You nicely capture the closeness of two people working in unison. The repetition of the “I/you” couplets goes a long way towards creating that effect. I also admire the subtlety with which you conveyed the paradox that lovely as their partnership is, founding love isn’t easy. Excellent word choices!

    1. Good morning, David
Thank you for your kind words. As always you capture the essence of my poems. I am thrilled.
“the paradox that lovely as their partnership is, founding love isn’t easy. ” Indeed.
I just was in the company of one of your characters who I love the most. It made my morning πŸ™‚
      Have a splendid day, David.

  3. Good morning G,

You make things so difficult for me to have a favorite. For me, this was all about an amazing connection. And you know how I feel about connedtions. So this one resonatged with me.

The beauty when one becomes a glorious two. The power of two working together, sharing the same dream. Nothing more beautiful than that. (Well, you poetry is, but after that nothing more beautiful).

Adored the lines about the Spinner and Archer. A wonderful piece.

    1. Good morning Drew
Thank you for the kind comment and the praise. It makes me happy it resonated with you. That resonance touches me deeply.
I saw your beautiful poem. I will reread and comment in the evening. A lot to think about.
Until then I hope you enjoy your day.
Actually make sure you make it fabulous.

      1. I am dealing with cleaning ladies. No way I can start the conquest today.

But “tomorrow is another day” πŸ™‚

      2. Ouch… I do not thing so. What about Ava Gardner. Sadly is not with us anymore. But you can still watch The Night of the Iguana πŸ™‚

      3. Ava Gardner. God, I love her. She was beautiful. Funny, you mention that movie, I just read a post about Richard Burton. I love the way women were so elegant and classy back then. Audrey Hepburn was another beauty. And Natalie Woods.

Hey, don’t know if you have a blue tooth. You may hate me for this, but, I just had a piece of Key Lime Pie. Pure heaven.

      4. I can’t agree more. Elegant and classy. That’s exactly how I would describe them.

Key Lime Pie? That was your first time? Congratulations. I love Key Lime Pie.
Suggestions: try it at Rusty Pelican or down in the Keys.
I do not miss Key Lime Pie. Some Italian (?) restaurants serve it here. Not as good as in Miami or the Keys, but good enough.
I miss Cuban sandwiches and Matzah ball soup. Nobody has them here πŸ™‚

Wishing you a great weekend, Drew.

    1. Aw.. Charlie, that is so kind of you to say. Thank you very much.
      Sending you lots of blessings.

  4. To me this seems like a poem about destiny, everything about these two meant to be, one thing from each of them building on the next, founding their fate and their fated hearts. So beautiful 😍 xoxo

    1. Hello my dearest R. Precisely. You are so good at reading me. Of course how can’t such a beautiful and talented soul not be?
Thank you so much for your kind comment.
      May you be happy forever
      Chocolate 🍫 included.

      1. Oh, my friend, you have no idea how welcome that chocolate is. I am stuck in transit nearly 24 hours after starting my journey home yesterday 😳. Your poem was wonderful, and was also a welcome gift in the airport lounge! Thank you! πŸ’œπŸ’›β€οΈ

      2. I am so sorry to hear that, sweetheart. Please take good care of yourself and make sure you get home safe. I do not know what stuck in transit means and I am worried.

      3. As in, waiting for flights – got within 30 mins of home and the plane had to turn around due to bad weather. So now just waiting for another flight…. You’re a sweetheart, no need to be worried, unless it’s my current sanity you’re concerned about! And thanks for the extra chocolate, I’m thinking of turning to wine at the next delay πŸ˜‚β€οΈβ€οΈ

      4. Glad you are relatively ok. Have a safe flight. Wine? No.. Turn to that beautiful martini sunset πŸŒ…
        Better than wine.
        Love and hugs πŸ€—β€οΈπŸ€—β€οΈ

      5. You are so kind, sweetheart. Thank you from the bottom of my ❀️. Be safe ✈️

      1. I wish you a speedy recovery, my dear Winnie. ❀️❀️❀️

  5. Simply beautiful! My perception sent me to the image of a first very early love, around 10 or so. Maybe I sensed the purity behind “serenities of underwater stars” or the sanctity between “your hands and mine
    founders of love”
    the purity of true love.
    Beautiful <3

    1. Aw, Daniela.. “the purity of true love.” Thank you for this beautiful comment. It warmed my heart.

  6. founder find always another brick, another tear, another year.who can believe in concept of love?my dear G🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁

    1. Thank you for reading and commenting. I do not know how to answer your question πŸ™‚

  7. The word “tolls” reminded me of Ernest Hemingway. Half of those who are in love rarely realise they are the magic and they are the magicians!

Also I’d be glad if you can spare some time to look out my new romantic poem!

    1. My most sincere thanks for your comment. I read your poem. It’s beautiful. I am following you now.
