summer fantasy #poetry

my eyes are water wells
mirroring your body
into a time which shrinks
my lips shine on stained glass
windows to the sea
a virgin violin
faints into your lap
sick with jealousy
the summer hangs in trees

    1. Thank you so much! I hope you know I love your poetry, and your appreciation means a lot to me!

  1. For some reason it appears as if my messages aren’t successfully going through.
Good morning. You have the wonderful talent for injecting emotion, scents, and senses
in your exquisite poetry. This piece was vivid and beautiful. The brush strokes of your laptop are always so perfect. Some write poetry. Some write beautiful poetry. You and a few other poets, have the ability to inspire and mesmerize.

    1. Good morning, Drew! I think somebody is conspiring against us πŸ™‚ Seriously most of the time your posts do not appear in my reader. I have to go to your site to read them. I complained to WP once. I might have to do it again.

As for the praise, my dear fried thank you soooooo much! Your words are more exquisite than my poem. You are so sweet. No sugar πŸ™‚

Laptop? How do you know I have a laptop?
      Haha! Enjoy your morning!

      1. Laughing so hard. You once mentioned you liked a poem on your iPhone but didn’t want to respond until you reached your laptop.
(I often do the same, but I am an Android guy).
Many people tell me they don’t see me in their reader. (Are you following me? LOL)
As for the praise, it is very deserving. I often read your work two or three times. So Ms. Academic, you indirectly are teaching me poetry. I hope you will see that in some of my future work.

Thanks. Going to sweat things out in the gym. I hope your day is wonderful and inspiring.

      2. Haha! I know I said that, but I did not think you will remember. Yet, you did πŸ™‚

Ouch! I thought I was a muse not Ms. Academic (are these two mutually exclusive?) LOL
I am honored that I can inspire you. It really warms my heart, Drew. I can’t wait to read your Thursday post.
        Cheers to a great friend!

      3. Bullet points

        – Funny muse. Please get that right.
        – I have been told “eres muy detallista.” I
        wear that compliment with pride.
        – You do inspire. You deserve to have my
following (although most of them are of
        your same gender).
        – Thursday…Ay. I must have about 25 or 30
to choose from. Not sure which. I have
        been very inspired of late.

        Cheers to a wonderful lady.

      4. Thank you! Will you please send the bullet points in PowerPoint next time? LOL

I can’t wait to see what you choose!

Have a great day at the gym! I am going to my flamenco lessons πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

    1. I am humbled by your words. Thank you so much! Yes, the artwork is beautiful. I love it too.

      1. I see, I have a proposal, lets have a mutual exchange, I’ll teach you music and you can teach me to write something like this. hehe, just kidding. Wait a minute, old poetry??? hah, now I see, A solitary reaper by William Wordsworth, Home they brought her warrior dead by Lord Alfred Tennyson, just naming a few here, that would be old poetry according to me. I like this so much this is worth Deciphering and my time. I wonder what the writer means by Summer hangs in trees seduction fantasy, maybe she can’t live the summer life, summer love she just fantasizes.

      2. My parents tried to teach me music when I was a kid. It did not work. I have no talent. No need to teach you how to write. Your writing is beautiful, my dear friend!
Oh, those are big names! I am so glad you like their work.
Indeed πŸ™‚ you know me by now.

      3. You are kidding me, This poetry right here is a fine example of your talent my dear friend, I envy you in a positive and motivating way.
Oh I’m a fan of such poetry and lyrics.
and wow looks like I nailed it. πŸ™‚

      4. Thank you so much! Let’s hope our next project will be a good one too πŸ™‚

      5. Talking about It, I’m just working with it, I have already made two short pieces ( yet to record) and I have mailed you my new piece. And for reference I am thinking of sharing you a similar piece by my fav artist.

  2. a virgin violin
faints into your lap
sick with jealousy
the summer hangs in trees

Ahhh sigh!! I get this feeling like this summer fantasy has a heady weight, breathless, no wind, it hangs there in the trees while you succumb to it, collapse into it. Yet your eyes are an oasis that can quench the thirst by gulping in stares at this beautiful body.

Gorgeous, I want to faint into the lap of this like a virgin violin.

Many hugs and thank you for this wonderful poem.

    1. My Dearest R,
Thank you very much for wonderful words and sorry for my late reply. I crossed an ocean. One more and I could reach you πŸ™‚
I am so glad that you enjoyed the poem. And of course your words went straight to my heart.
      It’s night here. Can’t sleep yet πŸ™‚
Wishing you a marvelous day, sweetheart πŸ™‚

      1. Ahhh you crossed an ocean!!!! I am intrigued, it can’t be just the Tasman left between us (sigh, as that is not such a huge distance) as otherwise it would be morning…. So, it must be the Pacific that is left? Or maybe my geography or literal interpretation of you ‘crossing seas’ is letting me down here πŸ˜‚.

I hope sleep visits you soon my friend, and I send warm hugs and love across whatever oceans they need to get to to find you (don’t worry, they are used to migrating far from home). Xox

      2. Only the Pacific left between the two of us πŸ™‚
Crossing it should be a piece of cake for me πŸ™‚

Sending you lots of love my lovely R, from a beautiful Mediterranean night. ( My VPN shows I am in England, but who cares anymore about VPNs these days?)

      3. G, I am so excited for you, and cannot wait to hear poetry inspired by Mediterranean days and nights!! I am going to live vicariously through this!!! I have some very fond and very precious memories of travel in that area…. SIGH. How much do I wish I could cross that ocean right this very second!! πŸ’œπŸŒΈπŸŒΈmuch love to you xx

      4. Thank you so much R. I want to do some traveling. I hope I can write a little too πŸ™‚

You know what… I could have crossed the Pacific directly and be closer to you. I’ll do it next time. I’ll love that.
Truth be told, my soul is so close to your marvelous poetry that I can’t feel much distance between us.
You take care, my dear magical friend. I’ll make sure to read your poems even from here πŸ˜‰

      5. On a cold day, this literally warms my heart dear G, I feel the same with your poetry. You are a star in my sky, I feel that connection between you and I (see, it even made me accidentally rhyme πŸ˜‚). Have a wonderful time travelling, revel in it ❀️❀️

      6. I know. I really dream at that. One day it will happen πŸ™‚

      7. And your words made this nigh even warmer.
Thank you for your wishes. Stay magical. The beauty of your poetry can make that cold disappear. Lots of hearts for you; including the King of Hearts πŸ™‚

    1. Aw.. Thank you for reading and for your beautiful comment. It means a lot to me!

    1. Thank you so much for this beautiful comment, Charlie. I cherish every word.
Blessing to you, my dear friend!

      1. Charlie, thank you so much. You are so kind. Looking forward to your next post πŸ™‚
