My new poem “Heritage of the Unknown” published by the Indian Periodical #poetry

I kneel
you pray
a bird rises from the ashes
inside my soul
the desperation of the boats which never leave the shore
tolls the waves like a church bell
the moon gets pregnant with desires

  1. Good afternoon G. Congratulations. Your verses need to be shared with the world. This makes me so happy. Couldn’t happen to a kinder or more talented soul.

The beauty of the images you painted with your words, aaah, gorgeous. This opened with a delicious contrast that drew us in and kept us intrigued every step of the way.

    Bravo.

    1. Good afternoon, Andrew.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful comment. It takes a lot of kindness to comment on a poem from inside the beauty of an April Florida afternoon.

I saw something on the blog of a common friend. If what I saw it’s true may you harvest the fruit of happiness. May you always be happy, Andrew!
      🙂

      1. Good morning G. Apologies for late my late response. I have been terribly busy.

Well, I am down here trying find an apartment. Need to move away from New York. Actually, embarrassed to tell you, it has been months since I have touched my manuscript.

Searching for peace and quiet so I can concentrate on my novel and poetry. Sunshine and palm trees are calling me. lol

I have applied for several apartments in good communities, just waiting to hear back from them. Thank you for your wonderful support.

      2. Good morning Drew,
As I always say: no need to apologize.
I am thrilled you decided to move. However, moving is stressful so make sure you take care of yourself first.

“Actually, embarrassed to tell you, it has been months since I have touched my manuscript.” That’s ok, Drew. The time to work on will come.

Orlando is still a mystery to me. I made two trips to Orlando to visit the Disney World (ha!) I did not see much of the city. I remember the orange groves as I drove in. They were beautiful. Therefore add oranges, to the sunshine and the palm trees 🙂
I am sure Orlando has nice communities so I wish you good luck from the bottom of my heart.
You will be more than fine Drew. You will finish your book and it’s going to be a great one.
        Have a magnificent day!
        G

      3. Oh, G. Relocating is so stressful. Well, no need for “belated” birthday wishes. Today is my birthday. I am sitting here in Bongos
(Downtown Disney) waiting for the waiter.
Only one mojito. I am driving.

I was approved for the apartment complex I mosr desired. It is in Hunters Creek one of Orlando’s burbs. (Really good, safe neighborhood). Quiet too.

What a day. Ultility company, cable, movers, bought a new bedroom set, accomplished so much.
Next week I return to NY to pick up things and return to my new home.
Thank you for your beautiful wishes. My birthday wishes came true. Thank you.

      4. Drew, I am really happy that you accomplished so much. I know how stressful moving is so hang in there. You’ve done a lot for one day. You deserve one mojito.
I am glad your wishes came true.
        Have a wonderful evening.
Oh, I forgot, if things did not change the state of Florida allows one to have two driver licenses. If still true you may want to keep your NY one too. Just in case.
        😊

      5. I wanted to wish you Happy Belated Birthday on your blog, but it appears that the comments are closed.

So, Happy Belated Birthday, Andrew. May all your dreams come true. May you be happy forever! May the sunshine, the palm trees, and the oranges inspire you!
        G.
