spring’s floral certitude #poem #poetry

i can’t see you
the spring’s floral certitude
showers petals in my eyes
lingers on veils forgotten at the altars
dreams interpret the language of cicadas
somebody plays the violin in the green room
like a flamenco dancer in Seville
i toss and turn inside my soul
your breath scatters on my neck
i stretch my arms to harvest poems
tongues of fire from your eyes
linger on my silky dress
i fall
rose thorns bite my thighs
it smells earth and grass from an old spring
i turn the page
i close my eyes
and i can see you

Good morning G. This was as gentle as a heartbeat and beautiful as a rainbow. Truly left me breathless.
“Showers petals in my eyes, lingers on veils forgotten at the alter.” Amazing lines. This was a warm shower
    in Spring.

You even tested the city boy with your “language of cicadas.”

    You weaved a masterpiece here.

    1. Good morning Drew

I did not have my coffee yet 🙂 and you shower me with compliments. Thank you so much. You just made my morning.
      “Masterpiece”: I am thrilled.

May you have a beautiful day filled with the music of cicadas. Oh, I forgot, you are a city boy 😉

      1. Yeah, over here, the music is obnoxious traffic, the rumble of overhead trains, and street merchants peddling their wares.

Go have your coffee. May it be as sweet as your poetry.
        Have a gorgeous day.

      2. Like boogie street? 🙂 🙂 🙂

Anyway, after your vivid description of your surroundings all I can think now is Leonardo Cohen’s “boogie street.” 🙂
