My poem “Adam’s sin” published by Spillwords Press

Dear Readers,

I am thrilled my poem “Adam’s sin” was published by Spillwords Press.
Thank you so much for your support. Good wishes and hugs to everyone.

a canary sings
nuptial interludes
your flesh pays its tribute to some other lovers
transitory birds
come and go like seasons
noisy V-shaped flocks
i sigh
then i listen to a monk who reads
from a book of psalms
rings sleep on my fingers
arabesque designs shiver on my skin
pastel sunsets….

    1. Thank you so much, my dear! No, that is not me. It’s a painting that I use on my Facebook page. The attribution is clear there. Spillwords picked it.

      1. Thank you my dear, Winnie. Kind and generous as always. Love and blessings to you!

    1. Joey, thank you so much for your kind words. Very grateful to you for reading. You made me smile 🙂

  1. I love your poem, but I am curious about why you gave it that name, as it appears to have nothing to do with the sin of disobedience in consuming the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

    1. Thank you for your kind words and for your question. If you read carefully “he” is given a change to go away – i.e. not to sin – and he does not take. Revisionist interpretation 🙂

    1. Thank you to my dear and talented friend. I am glad you think so. May your day be marvelous as you are!

    1. Thank you for such a beautiful comment, my dear friend. It warms my heart.

It’s not my picture. Spillwords picked it up from my FB poetry page. It’s a painting and it has the right attribution there.

Thank you again for your kind support, Shantanu! It means a lot to me.

      Have a wonderful day!

  2. Dear G, this was a magnificent piece of writing full of so many wonderful images and inspiration. It made me smile,
sigh, and filled me with a deep desire to write.

Congrats. Adam’s Sin and the poetess who created it deserve all of the accolades and praise. I couldn’t think of a poet more deserving of having her work displayed like a priceless museum piece. Can’t begin to describe how happy I am for you. I am so lucky and proud to be your friend,

Again, congratulations. Have a glorious day.

    1. Dear Drew,

Thank you so much for the high praise and the accolades. Your comment is magnificent. I hope you know how much your appreciation means to me 🙂
I am also lucky and proud to be your friend. So, there, you are not the only one 🙂

“sigh, and filled me with a deep desire to write.” That makes me really happy. I can’t wait to read your future posts and your novel. I am waiting, Drew…

May you have a day filled with love and beauty.
      G

      1. I am glad to hear that I motivate you, Drew! A sword? Not for you. Maybe for others if I can motivate myself 🙂 Kidding.
        Same wishes to you too!

    1. Heeyyy, glad to hear from you my dear friend. I hope everything is fine. Teach me how to play guitar 🎸😊

      1. Im good very good, how about you? Oh, you even have the guitar emoji. That is cute. Yes of course I can teach you the basic and some more but the rest is up to you. Haha I think I’ll get the same reply. Hahaha.

      2. I am fine, Ankit. I do not need to teach you how to write poetry. You know that 😊
        Take care, my friend.

      3. And thank you for complimenting my poetry! I am glad you like it
As for our collaboration write me.

    1. Thank you so much, Ash. Your appreciation means a lot to me.

Sorry to disappoint 🙂 but it’s not my picture. Spillwords took that picture from my FB poetry page. However, there it has proper attribution. Spillwords omitted the attribution. I am sure they did not intent to do so. It was an honest mistake. 🙂

      1. Oh, no, don’t be disappointed. It may happened one day 🙂 No hockey this Saturday?
