blood #poem #poetry

my body is dragged
i’m covered in mud
sword in my hand
still i can cut
you’re looking at me
i hear the word love

fight!

children are crying
the moon has been stolen
the winds have stopped
right all the wrongs
lighten the sun
straighten the earth
bloom all the buds
i’ll see you again
there are other lives

fight
do not stop!

i’m choking on blood…

      1. You too, my dearest. Just checked to see if I missed anything on your blog. Apparently not.

        I miss your poetry!

      1. Until now, yes. Thank you for asking, Ash. Have a wonderful day and stay warm!

  2. Good morning G. Only you could write so beautifully of stolen moons and being covered in mud. (Of course that sword would be ready in your hand.) I see you are in a feisty mood. No one better cut you off on the road. LOL

Loved your words. Always the right mix of passion and imagery, sort of like……..coffee and milk.

Have a gorgeous day full of sunshine and smiles.

    1. Good morning, Drew.

Thank you so much for your gorgeous comment. You are so sweet. That’s wonderful because I need a bit of sugar in my coffee. LOL

Thank you again, Drew. No words can express my gratitude.

May you have a lovely and peaceful day! No swords 🙂

  3. Another great depiction of love as a battle! The juxtaposition of “the world love” and “fight!” really grabs my attention. So fierce and biting. This is why I never tire of reading your work, G!

    1. Thank you so much, David. I am delighted you liked it. You opinion means a lot to me. Sometimes I can be fierce 🙂

      Have a lovely afternoon!
      G
