i miss you
like a little poor child
misses his home destroyed by war
like giant wounded albatrosses
miss their flights above blue oceans
like thirsty Bedouins miss water
like ancient swords miss their masters
like in the days before the resurrection
his followers missed Him
i miss your eyes
iβve never seen

Heart rendering poem.
Thank you so much for reading and appreciating, my dear!
An amazing piece of art..
Thank you, dear!
Poignantly sweet , a yearning beautifully portrayed , with so much finesse , you are my High Priestess of poetry.
Thank you so much, my dearest, Y. With you here I feel much better. Your words warm my heart, my forever queen of poetry. And I needed the warmth.
You be well. Keep smiling. ππ
Thank you my dear, you too π π π
Lovely poem. Another beautiful piece. π
Thank you so much, Ash! You are so kind to me.
Have a magnificent day π
Always…you too!
π
Good morning. You are going to think badly of me when I make this confession. I saw your post arrive in my email notifications, but I refused to open it until my morning coffee was ready.
Now, having thoroughly savored my Bustelo and your poetry, I am ready to comment. An amazing poem of a deep and powerful longing, Your analogies perfectly convey this feeling so vividly. I shouldn’t be surprised. That is your strength as a poet and writer. Oh, and those last two lines – a wonderful poetic exclamation point to this piece.
Always amazed, enchanted, and delighted when I stop here. Have a glorious day SPF; like you made mine after reading this.
Dear Drew, how can think badly of you? You are a great friend, and I cherish our friendship tremendously.
Thank you for your beautiful comment. I am thrilled.
Well, I have to make a confession too.
Confession time! (That will be a good title for a poem! Do you want to try ? π ) I had to look for your comments all over my blog today π I could see them only from the admin dashboard. But, I do not regret. Such compliments deserved my work π
Have a fascinating day, Drew!
Thank you again!
Hmmmm. Well, how about the title “my confession.” Thoughts and words are already flowing. You will see it soon.
Funny, you should mention that about the comments. I had problems leaving my comment today. I couldn’t do it through your blog, I was only able to comment through the reader.
Having a wonderful day yourrself. I will be working on a confession. LOL
Love the title Drew! Canβt wait to read the poem. I am sure it will be great!
As for the comments maybe it was just a bad day!
Donβt forget to write the poem!
Afternoon already for you, so enjoy the rest of your day!
Poem almost done. Should post next Monday.
Thanks. You too.
YAY!!!
Laughing. Thanks for the prompt
Itβs an assignment π
Laughing even harder. Hope I pass.

π
I miss you, this expression stands for itself, It is independent, but you my friend have written in such a way that the phrase has now become dependent of those scenes you created.
I make sense right? π π
You always make sense, my dear friend! Thank you so much for being here and commenting! It makes my day brighter.
On another note, I did not forget about the version in which you lower the bass π At the time I did not save it so please send it to me again.
Wishing you a gorgeous evening and thank you again, Ankit π
Shall I adjust the contrast as well?
I think I accidentally deleted the version, but I can retrieve from the mail. If not I’ll take original verson and work.with it.
Btw it might br just me who feels the bass is high, you can listen to the original version and decide it for yourself.
A beautiful day to you.
Yes, I think so.. just a bit.
I listened to both versions, and I loved the one where the bass was lower.
Thank you, my friend. I’ll catch up with you later π
Sure
π
Good morning. I will have to make a confession. I saw the email notification for this post appear in my inbox.
I refused to open it until my morning coffee was ready.
Now, having savored my Bustelo and your poetry, I am ready to add my two cents. What a beautiful write of deep longing. So vivid with your wonderful and powerful analogies. As always, you are an artist painting a picture that even a blind man can see.
Sigh. This was stunning to read.
That last line is …! Amazing work, my dear!
Thank you so much! I am so glad you liked it! Take care, my dear!
You are so welcome. You too, dear!

I loved the ‘i miss your eyes
iβve never seen’ made me nostalgic. So relatable . I believe saying sumpathies is like saying I’m like you and Empathy is I like you. Both emotions and are the undercurrents this poem sent. Sent shivers, essential tremors within deeply thought provoking. Wonderful work. Please accept my heart felt compliments. Thank you for sharing. Regards Jay
I am humbled by your words, Jay! Thank you for the bottom of my heart for complimenting my work π
Regards,
G
