in the city made of stones #poem

in the city made of stones

winds play chords of violins

thighs made of Carrara marble

yearn the flesh of the young girls

tired lizards climb a wall

the forgetfulness of time

your hands bury in a rock

my warm body

my bright eyes

i go down with a long moan

in the marble’s ebb and flow

in the city made of stones

the next morning

grass has grown

  1. Good morning. I need to win the lotto so I can pay you just to write poetry all day.

About to enter Alligator Alley on my way to Fort Myers. So, happy I caught this post early

Have the most gorgeous day Miss Inspiration.

    1. Good morning, Drew, and thank you for the kind words!
Probably we both need to play 😉 One of us may win 🙂
Drive safely and enjoy Fort Myers!
If you go to St. Pete and visit the Dali Museum let me know what you think about.
      Have a fantastic day 🙂

    1. Hi there my friend!
I’m not talking too much today. I’m preserving my voice 🙂 🙂 🙂
      Enjoy your afternoon!
I’ll get back to you later.

      1. okay I’ll talk to your voice, will I get a reply from her, or is it just one way communication? 🙂
Talking with her voice isn’t that an interesting title? Im thinking……🤔🤔🤔

      2. haha! It’s a very interesting title, indeed. Very creative!!!!!
My voice will be talking to you today. But, only to you. I am not kidding.
I’ll try the stereo option, but the manual says it’s not recommended for voice recording.
But no harm on trying, my talented friend!

      3. interesting, the lyrics are tempting, what do I say…. would you like some kinda reply? Two way is always better than one way. hehe.
Yup you should try that. And let me know of the results. Addressing you as the voice of this voiceless.

      4. Of course I would like a reply from you!
Looking forward to it, my dear friend 🙂

      5. okay I’ll start working on it, actually I was trying to add some more layers of musical notes for our next. but it feels the music is complete and is independent, or maybe Im just not getting it. I’ll just leave that for now and start working on the reply. Thank you for the opportunity.

      6. You are we welcome, my dear friend! I can’t wait to see what you come up with 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, my dearest Y! You know how much your words mean to to me.
The sun is brighten by your words!
      Have a fabulous weekend!

      1. You are so welcome , G. I am so delighted to be reading your poetry , nothing quite like it anywhere here or on the internet elsewhere.

      2. I feel so honored by your words.
There are days when you do not post and I really miss your poetry.
I wish you the best of best and know you are missed every day 💐🌷🌺🌸

  2. This rather makes me sweat. Um… that may be a typo “cords,” I believe you mean “chords.” Sorry, I can’t help myself. I’m an English major and a bit of a grammar Nazi. I thought to be an editor/copywriter and then I wound up being an unemployed musician.

    1. Hi Charles
Yes, there is a typo. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.!
      Makes you sweat?

    1. I am so glad you liked it, my dear Tanya. Thank you for your kind words!
Enjoy the rest of your day!

  3. That is to say–the ambiguity of poetry, notwithstanding–afterall, I’m an English major drop out. Not necessarily a “major drop out,” I simply took the courses I wanted and quit. OkayI’llshutupnow.

      1. It’s a gorgeous picture! May you let the fall always rejuvenate you and make you happy! It’s my favorite season.
        Happy Saturday to you too!!!
