neuroses #poetry

your eyes are young

my breath is heavy

sunflowers vanish in the frost

the tea is boiling

and the cat is purring

it’s autumn in the northern hemisphere

while summer comes on Rio de la Plata

i knew a poet who once said

i want to die unknown on Rio de la Plata

his eyes were old

his arms were strong

i ran to you deep in the northern hemisphere

and autumn came

to bury me into its neuroses’ mold

your body’s hot

my body’s cold

the room is quiet like a tomb

a nun is kneeling in the street

it’s autumn in the northern hemisphere

while summer comes on Rio de la Plata

    1. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment, my dear friend. More? I can send you pictures of the estuary 🙂 It’s beautiful!
On a different note, you are such a wonderful writer. It’s a pleasure to read your postings.

      1. I have no problem with you asking. I guess I’m waiting for the right time. Problem is that I do not know when “the right time” will come.
Have a great afternoon, my friend!

  1. such a nice scene you created, I was lost chasing summer and winter around the globe. I got that connection but along the way Im sure I misinterpreted many things. 🙁

    1. Thank you for your kind words, my dear friend! I’m misinterpreting some things too 😊 There, you are not the only one. It must be late to you. Have a great night and thank you for reading!

  2. Good afternoon. As you always do, this piece transcends the blog page it is written on. Taking our minds and spirits to the wonderful realm of your imagination.

You are a remarkable poet dear G.

    1. Good afternoon. As always you fill my heart with joy, Drew.

May you have a fabulous rest of the day!
      Take care!
PS when are you posting next?

      1. Thank you again for your kind words, Drew. Looking forward to reading your next post!

  3. Just popped back to pick up a couple of pieces of writing from my blog – and there you are G – I couldn’t resist – only you write quite like this – and now once more I disappear – almost recluse – but back by Halloween says he ghosting words on screen…

    1. Haha! Eric… I really miss you! I hope everything is well and you are working hard on your books. I can’t wait to read them!
Thank you for stopping by! You made my day!

  4. This is a terrific piece of poetry. It gets better every time I read it, and it’s worth reading more than once. Thank you for sharing. Brian
