destiny #poetry

your poems tattoo

new destiny lines in my palms

i bleed scented roses

colored in Pompeian red

my hair entangles in hibiscuses

stolen from the tropic of cancer

the bed grows thick aerial roots

the wind plays an archaic song

i toss and turn in silky sheets

it smells pines and dark ocean

your heavy kisses fall on my palms

my destiny lines lead to your soul

i wake up

where are you?

a lonely verse sleeps on my pillow

a rose sighs

bleeding love

      1. Ah… Sorry it made you sad. I hope everything is well. lots of love to you.

      2. It made me sad because the lover is alone at the end. And I kinda relate with that because I’m a sailor’s wife. Long periods of separation 😔

    1. Thank you soooo much my dear K. I left a comment on your blog. Your thoughts are mine too.

  1. a wonderful poem with splendid metaphors, allusions and references! my delight to see. “colored in Pompeian red” as an eternal fresco!

    1. Thank you so much, dear B! Always happy to receive compliments from a great poet.

    1. Thank you sooo much! I will let you know when I read my palm again 😊😊😊

      1. Funny you should ask. Was talking about that with someone yesterday and so did a little reading up on it. I think the next time I am near a palm reader I will get it done 🙂

  2. Aww. I love the emotion in this poem. I envy you, I really want to write something like this but my downbeat alter ego wouldn’t let me. 🙁 You have explained my emotion through this writing in a perfectly hurtful way.

Can you please try to follow my blog page, if you don’t mind. I would love to connect with you. 🙂

      1. Ah, I would love too! But my Instagram account was hacked and I cannot get it back. So sorry.
